Xdefiant update 1.000.020 is rolling out on PS5, PC and Xbox. According to the official Xdefiant 1.000.020 patch notes, Jump-spamming penalties now apply faster, ranked mode is more balanced with ability restrictions and faster progression. Expect smoother gameplay with bug fixes across the board. Additionally, Xdefiant version 1.000.020 also addresses key map issues.

Gameplay Changes
Jump-Spamming Mitigations
- Aim sway now applies on the fourth jump or crouch instead of the fifth.
- Progressive jump-height penalty:
- 1st jump: 70% of max height.
- 2nd jump: 49% of max height.
- 3rd jump: 34% of max height.
- Midair strafing speed reduced by 25%.
- Horizontal jump speed reduced by 10%.
- Landing-speed reduction penalty capped after three jumps.
- Reduced animation speed for the following transitions:
- Stand to Crouch.
- Crouch to Stand.
- Stand to Jump.
- Sprint to Slide.
- Slide to Jump.
Map Fixes
Daytona Map
- Fixed an issue where players could shoot through unintended walls.
Echelon HQ Map
- Fixed a connection error when standing on a railing.
Ranked Mode Updates
Ability Restrictions
- Only one player per team can select a given ability.
- Ability switching mid-match is allowed, freeing up the previous ability upon respawn.
Rank Progression & Loss Forgiveness
- Rank progression speed increased; approximately 30% more Rank Points awarded for wins.
- Loss buffer increased from 45 to 75 RP to prevent rank drops.
- No Rank Point loss in Bronze tier after a match loss.
Quit Penalty
- Quit penalty in Ranked mode increased from 40 RP to 50 RP.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed two issues affecting Ranked matchmaking:
- Prevented matchmaking in the Ranked lobby.
- Allowed invites for players outside matchmaking restrictions.
Miscellaneous Fixes
- Operator Challenges now unlock correctly (Smoother Operator and Elite Operator).
- Graphical and audio fixes applied.
- Crash fixes implemented.
