Rust servers are down on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. Since the last update, players are experiencing a number of issues when they try to play online. Out of those affected, some are experiencing login and disconnection issues. You can check Rust server status, maintenance, and downtime details here.

Is Rust Server Down?
Yes, Rust servers are down and players are facing login issues. You can check for any scheduled maintenance details below. It is possible that game servers are down for backend server maintenance.
January 31, 2023 – Server maintenance time.
9am-Netherlands (EU | NLD)/Germany (EU | DEU)
11:30am-New York (USA | NY)/Toronto (CAN | TO) 3/3
January 26, 2023 – Monthly wipe will start at 6PM UTC. The Rust server should be back in 30 mins after wipe, but it might take a bit longer.

December 12, 2022 – Servers will restart to enable the Christmas event. There will be some brief downtime.
September 1, 2022 – Rust’s monthly wipe and content update will be released this Thursday at 19:00 BST / 18:00 UTC / 14:00 EST

July 7, 2022 – The game devs will release a mandatory client & server patch. Read the Rust patch 1.42 details here.
June 28, 2022 – The game devs will release a mandatory client & server patch at 19:00 BST / 18:00 UTC / 14:00 EST to reattempt to upgrade a third-party backend system.
June 13, 2022 – Xbox and PlayStation servers are facing some issues. The game servers are down on both of these consoles. The game devs are aware of these issues where some users may not be able to purchase or launch games. Please stay tuned for updates here or check the status page link below.
If servers are up and running, check for any available updates. Be sure to allow any updates to install completely before beginning your game installation. Follow the steps below to check for updates manually.
Check for update on PC(Steam).
- Open the Steam application your PC or Mac and click “Library” at the top of the window.
- Right-click the game in your library that you want to change the update settings of, and select “Properties” from the drop-down menu.
- Select the “Updates” tab.
PlayStation
- Select Settings from the PlayStation home screen.
- Select Network.
- Select Test Internet Connection and allow the test to run.
Xbox
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
- Select Test network connection and allow the test to run.
