Rainbow Six Siege (R6) Update 1.000.148 Patch Notes for PS5 & XSX

Rainbow Six Siege update 1.000.148 is rolling out on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official R6S update 1.000.148 patch notes, the latest update introduces mouse and keyboard support for consoles in PC crossplay, brings back the 1v1 Bomb Arcade with faster rules and new maps, reworks Dokkaebi and Wamai, buffs Jäger and Zofia, refines recoil and gadget cooldowns, and fixes several gameplay and voice chat issues. Apart from this, Rainbow 6 Siege patch 1.000.148 also includes various minor gameplay tweaks. Currently, the game servers are down, you can check R6 server status here.

Console Mouse & Keyboard Support

  • Mouse and keyboard support added for consoles in the PC crossplay matchmaking pool.
  • Mouse and keyboard remains unavailable in other matchmaking pools.
  • Text chat is now available for all console players using mouse and keyboard.
  • Custom Games include a new Input Device option to allow or restrict mouse and keyboard.

Arcade 1v1 Bomb

  • 1v1 Bomb mode returns with updates focused on faster and more competitive matches.

Map Pool

  • Added Coastline.
  • Added Consulate.
  • Added Outback.
  • Removed House.

Matchmaking

  • Updated matchmaking to better match player skill levels.

Mode Settings

  • Operator Attrition replaces Operator Ban.
  • All Operators are available except Montagne, Blackbeard, Blitz, and Clash.
  • Preparation Phase reduced to 15 seconds.
  • Objective location is revealed at the start of each round.
  • Reinforcement pool reduced from 10 to 6.

Major Balance Changes

Dokkaebi

  • Jegeo Payload cooldown now applies per target instead of globally.
  • Cooldown increased to 14 seconds from 7 seconds.

Wamai

  • MAG-NET recharge frequency reduced to 20 seconds from 40 seconds.
  • Maximum charges increased to 7 from 6.
  • Activation time reduced to 0.5 seconds from 1.5 seconds.
  • Added Deployable Shield.
  • Replaced Impact Grenades with Nitro Cell.

Jäger

  • Speed increased to 3.
  • Health reduced to 1.

Zofia

  • KS79 Lifeline concussion grenades increased to 3.
  • KS79 Lifeline impact grenades increased to 3.

Balance Refinements

416-C

  • Reduced vertical recoil across all burst stages.
  • Smoother horizontal recoil.
  • Stronger recoil now begins on bullet 10 instead of bullet 8.
  • Applies to Jäger.

Rauora

  • D.O.M. Panel cooldown between shots reduced to 1 second from 3 seconds.

Melusi

  • Banshee Sonic Defense radius increased to 4.3 meters from 4 meters.

Twitch

  • Shock Drone laser recharge reduced to 28 seconds from 30 seconds.

Lesion

  • GU Mine recharge reduced to 25 seconds from 30 seconds.

Bug Fixes

Gameplay

  • Fixed Mute’s Signal Disruptor disabling ACOG and Holo sights on the XK23.
  • Fixed the XK23 magazine appearing in the wrong position after cancelling a tactical reload.
  • Fixed AI failing to deploy gadgets in Kanal’s 1F Security Room and 1F Map Room.

User Experience

  • Fixed an issue that could grey out microphone icons and prevent voice chat communication.

Previously, a big season 7 update added a new defender Azami (Kiba barrier gadget), permanent Team Deathmatch mode, and changes for Goyo, Melusi, Thunderbird, Kali, Valkyrie, and Zero. Recently, a hotfix Y7S1.2 was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s R6 Siege patch 1.000.148 will fix a few of these issues.
