According to the official Helldivers 2 version 1.006.204 patch notes, the latest update added a Wwise audio fix aimed at resolving several sound-related problems. - Chinese/Japanese IME bug: Using IME can completely block movement and controls.
- Lumberer & Flame Sentry may fail to deal damage at point-blank range.
- MGX-42 Bullet Storm muzzle flash may appear visually misaligned.
- Terminate Illegal Broadcast objective can occasionally become impossible to finish.
- Weapon pattern customization resets after restarting the game.
- Remember weapon functions setting may fail on some weapons.
- Linux / Steam Deck launch issue affected players.

Technical Issues
- Microsoft IME users cannot properly type Korean, Japanese, or Chinese in chat.
- Cross-play voice chat sometimes fails.
- Player nickname missing under “Operated By” text on Super Destroyer.

- Explosions can ragdoll players through terrain.
- Weapon customization stats for sway/reload display incorrectly.
- Attachment previews sometimes don’t update until equipped.
- Melee kills may not count in mission or career stats.
- Manual climbing sometimes fails where auto-climb works.
- MLS-4X Commando unguided mode broken.
- Network desync can:
- Cause strange enemy corpse collisions
- Soft-lock SEAF Artillery shell insertion
- Armor blood/dirt effects can turn armor completely black.
- LAS-7 Dagger Beam may hit the player’s own directional shield.
Previously, a minor Helldivers 2 version 1.005 focused on weapon balancing, improved aiming, new weapon function keybinds, major crash fixes, enemy behavior corrections, and broad performance optimizations. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing several issues. The upcoming Helldivers 2 update 1.007 will address the remaining issues and bugs.
