Helldivers 2 update 1.006.101 (v6.1.1) improves game stability, restores a missing player title, and refines weapon functionality. According to the official Helldivers 2 version 1.006.101 patch notes, the latest update also includes lighting and fog adjustments, particularly during harsh environmental events.

Update Highlights
- Resolved a multiplayer crash tied to weapon swapping during flag placement
- Corrected reload behavior for the SMG-72 Pummeller.

Stability Fixes
- Fixed a crash triggered when changing weapons while planting the One True Flag in multiplayer sessions.
Weapons and Stratagem Adjustments
- SMG-72 Pummeller can now reload correctly when ammunition remains in the weapon’s magazine supply.
General Improvements
- The Burier of Heads title has been reinstated and is now available again in the customization menu for eligible players.
- Distance fog density has been increased to create smoother visuals and add more ambient lighting, especially on sandy moons.
- Brightness levels during Exostorm events have been raised to reduce extreme darkness inside Exospire missions.
Previously, a minor Helldivers 2 version 1.005 focused on weapon balancing, improved aiming, new weapon function keybinds, major crash fixes, enemy behavior corrections, and broad performance optimizations. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing several issues. The upcoming Helldivers 2 update 1.007 will address the remaining issues and bugs.
