Valorant 8.08 Patch Notes – April 30, 2024
Agent Updates
Chamber Chamber’s voice lines have been updated, and interaction lines with Reyna, Astra, and Omen have been added.
Cypher Since the 7.09 updates, Cypher has strengthened his position on the Sentinel roster, but his stalling power has been extended more than intended. To address this, adjustments have been made to his abilities, particularly Trapwire (C), to provide more counterplay opportunities for the enemy team.
Trapwire (C)
- Re-arm time increased from 1 to 2 seconds.
- Slow duration reduced from 2 to 1.25 seconds.
To mitigate the strategy of hiding Spycams (E) and continuously monitoring enemies undetected, an audio telegraph has been added. Now, enemies will hear looping audio when being watched by Cypher’s Spycam (E).
Viper Viper’s dominance in the meta and professional play has led to adjustments aimed at introducing clearer weaknesses while maintaining her unique identity as a Controller/Sentinel hybrid.
Poison Cloud (Q)
- Can now only be retrieved during the Buy Phase.
Snake Bite (C)
- Charges reduced from 2 to 1.
- Price increased from 200 to 300 credits.
- Duration increased from 5.5 to 6.5 seconds.
Premier Updates A new stage of Premier has begun, introducing promotions. Players can see their division’s promotion requirements on the standings page and meet them to advance at least one division higher.
The Premier Score playoff qualification threshold for all divisions is now 600.
Bug Fixes

Maps An exploit on Split that allowed Agents to stand on a sign on A Site has been fixed.
