AGENT UPDATES

Raze

  • Explosion VFX Updated: Boom Bot and Paint Shells now have improved visuals for hitbox clarity.

  • Shorter VFX Duration: Explosions now fade faster for clearer gameplay.


CLIENT UPDATES

Collection Updates (All Platforms)

Console
  • Removed navigation page for specific content types.

  • All content types (Player Cards, Sprays, etc.) now available directly from the Collection page.

  • Improved gamepad navigation.

COMPETITIVE UPDATES

Rank Rollback Adjustments

  • Increased refunded RR cap within an Act for all ranks below Radiant.

MODE UPDATES

Swiftplay

  • Tejo Armageddon Start Points: Increased from 2 → 3 (retroactive from 10.09).

  • Ultimate Scaling: Auto-adjustments confirmed for 9-point ultimates going forward.

Map Rotation

  • Icebox: Remains disabled in Deathmatch and Escalation due to spawn issues.


BUG FIXES

Omen

  • Reverted a previous fix causing allies to see through nearsights.

  • Reintroduced issue: Omen’s vision impaired when overlapping dense smokes during Dark Cover.

Vyse

  • Fixed Arc Rose confirm triggering on non-players.

  • Fixed Arc Rose becoming unusable if placed near the spike.

Deadlock

  • Fixed inconsistent dodging of net toss via jumping in affected zones.

Tejo

  • Fixed Astra’s concuss always affecting stealth drone.

  • Fixed rockets being blocked by Waylay’s abilities.

Yoru

  • Fixed flash decals lingering on walls post-bounce.

Brimstone

  • Fixed ultimate visuals drawing below the map.


KNOWN ISSUES

  • Icebox: Still disabled in Deathmatch and Escalation (ongoing spawn issue fix).


ESPORTS FEATURES (PC ONLY)

Pick’Ems – Masters Toronto

  • Starts May 28 – available in-client and on web.

  • Predict Swiss Stage teams and earn exclusive titles.

  • Bonus rewards for Top 50% and Top 20% performers.

  • Compete via VAL Community Leaderboard.

  • Playoffs stage will feature a double elimination bracket with additional points.


CONSOLE ONLY UPDATES

General

  • New Description: Fast Melee Equip description added to Controls > Advanced.

Gameplay Systems

  • Movement Settings Expanded:

    • Walk/Run Threshold: Min value widened from 0.5 → 0.001.

    • Movement Deadzone: Max value expanded from 0.5 → 1.0.

    • These changes were implemented in 10.09 but now formally documented.

Previously, a big update added a map, Battlepass, and quality of life changes. Recently, Valorant update 5.04 was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues when trying to play the game online. Today’s Valorant 1.000.040 will fix a few of these issues.
