Total War Warhammer 3 update 8.0.2 focuses on strengthening Cathay’s Tiger Warriors through cost reductions and bonus improvements, increasing Zhao Ming’s rewards, fixing numerous Bhashiva and Armies of Shang-Yang issues, correcting AI spell behavior, and resolving several campaign crashes, mission bugs, and battle-related problems. Apart from this TWW3 update 8.0.2 also includes stability fixes.

Total War: Warhammer Update Summary
- Lowered recruitment and upkeep costs for several Cathay Tiger Warrior units.
- Improved Desert Tigress Insignia bonuses and Zhao Ming goal rewards.
- Fixed multiple Bhashiva, Zhao Ming, Armies of Shang-Yang, and caravan-related campaign issues.
- Resolved AI spell targeting problems and several battle bugs.
- Addressed numerous crashes, softlocks, and mission progression issues.
Campaign
- Reduced Tiger Warrior Iron Claws recruitment cost from 1700 to 1600.
- Reduced Tiger Warrior Stalkers recruitment cost from 1550 to 1400.
- Reduced Tiger Warrior Stalkers upkeep cost from 300 to 275.
- Reduced Tiger Warrior Dual Axes recruitment cost from 1200 to 1000.
- Reduced Tiger Warrior Dual Axes upkeep cost from 250 to 225.
- Changed the Desert Tigress Insignia bonus for Jade Crossbows to Armour-piercing missile damage and increased its effect from 3 to 4.
- Increased the Desert Tigress Insignia Armour-piercing bonus for Jade Infantry from 3 to 4.
- Increased the chance of receiving higher-tier units when completing Zhao Ming’s goals.
- Replaced Strider with a campaign movement range bonus in the Fleet of Foot trait, as Wayfarer already grants Strider.
- Tiger Warriors now properly receive recruitment cost reductions from Prophecy of the White Tiger buildings.
- Zhao Ming’s skills and faction bonuses affecting melee infantry now correctly apply to Tiger Warriors.
- Improved consistency when generating Zhao Ming’s goals.
- Interacting with Zhao Ming’s end-turn goals now opens the missions tab in Armies of Shang-Yang.
Campaign Fixes
- Fixed an end-turn crash while playing as Bhashiva.
- Fixed a crash when opening the Armies of Shang-Yang panel.
- Fixed an issue where Clawspeaker Heroes granted by the Deeply Devout trait did not start with spells and abilities unlocked.
- Fixed a problem when capturing rebel settlements as Bhashiva.
- Fixed an issue where Bhashiva’s allies could become targets of Zhao Ming’s goals.
- Fixed caravans being counted as armies in the faction summary screen.
- Fixed the banner upgrades menu closing immediately when an agent was selected.
- Fixed a Chaos Invasions mission execution error affecting Bhashiva.
- Fixed a text pointer issue in the Armies of Shang-Yang panel.
- Fixed a rare post-battle crash after Miao Ying’s Realm of Chaos battle.
- Fixed an animation issue when auto-resolving battles with a Lord Magistrate on a Sky Lantern mount.
- Fixed missing unit cards in Armies of Shang-Yang mission requirements.
- Fixed the Insignia assignment menu losing functionality if opened while an army was moving.
Other Fixes
- Fixed Norscan homeland settlement setups that prevented Warriors of Chaos factions from vassalizing corresponding Norscan factions.
- Fixed the Chaos Invasion: Despoilers mission for Skarbrand so it now spawns a fully functional Cultist of Khorne in Realms of Chaos campaigns.
- Fixed Epidemius’ Tally of Pestilence so it correctly counts plagues that spread to settlements.
Battle
- Resolved an issue where AI armies heavily prioritized single-entity targets with area-of-effect spells.
- Fixed a softlock when opening the Unit & Spell Browser after a Mirror of Madness battle.
- Aligned the Sky Lantern Gunner crew’s effective range with the Sky Lantern.
- Fixed missing sound effects during Bhashiva’s teleport attacks in quest battles.
Previously, Warhammer 3 update 2.1 added brand-new Immortal Empires game mode, Blood for the Blood God, and more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are experiencing problems with the game. Today’s Total War Warhammer 3 patch 7.0.3 will fix a few of these issues.
