Patch Notes 6.3.1

Unusual Locations

  • Added customization options to disable Purple Hand and Unstable Chaos Portal.

  • Increased earliest spawn turn for impactful Unusual Locations (Faulty Doomsphere, Unstable Chaos Portal).

  • Removed Arcane Synergy from Purple Hand; safehouses now spread faster.

  • Purple Hand spread event converted into a dilemma for better visibility.

  • Fixed issue preventing Purple Hand’s final event from triggering.

  • Reduced Hydras in Underworld Sea Entrance from 7 → 3.


Campaign

Lizardmen

  • Tiktaq’to: Increased Blessed Ripperdactyl & Terradon Rider pool cap.

  • Tablet of Spawning: Now properly increases Spawning Sequence via commandments; tech also raises cap.

  • Oxyotl: Missions grant Spawning Sequence based on difficulty; gains sequence from Sanctum buildings.

  • Nakai & Tehenauin: Doubled Spawning Sequence from rites; increased Rite of Awakening rewards.

  • Blessed Units: Max capacity can now be increased by +1 via tech tree.

  • Rite of Awakening cooldown reduced from 10 → 5 turns.

  • Tehenauin & Mazdamundi: Gain Wallbreaker when mounted on Stegadons.

Banner Adjustments
  • “Totem Pole of Destiny” ward save reduced from 26 → 15.

Tomb Kings

  • Dedication to Asaph now applies with reduced values.

  • “Canopic Jar Hoarder” skill gain reduced for balance.

  • Occupying settlements now grants Canopic Jars.

  • Rite of Tahoth (Casket of Souls) cost reduced from 5000 → 2500.

  • Army capacity increase cost raised from 50% → 75%.

  • Wisdom of the Fourth & Sixth Dynasty techs now grant additional effects.

  • Tomb King Lord skill “Unwavering Resolve” replaced Immune to Psychology with Unyielding Assault.


Traits & Skills

General Trait Updates

  • Spiteful: Now grants Contempt; removed from Masters.

  • Uncompromising (Lizardmen): Reduces construction cost for advanced military buildings.

  • Sharp Teeth: AP damage increased from 40 → 50.

  • Warpstone Hoarder: +3 AP missile damage for Plague Claw Catapults, Warp Lightning Cannons, Doomwheels.

  • Overconfident: Leadership reduced by 2.

  • Arrogant: Removed charge bonus, added 10% missile block and XP effects.

  • Humble: Now includes Rabble Rouse.

  • Iron Skin: Provides +10 armour, +10% mass, +10% missile block.

  • Noble (Empire): Upkeep reduction only applies to characters in the army.

  • Chivalry (Bretonnia): Adjusted chivalry values across traits.

  • Nurgle’s Foul Stink: Now +10% HP, -3 Enemy Leadership in local region.

  • Dread Incarnate: Leadership debuff reduced to -2.

  • Blight of Terrors: New bonuses for Treemen and Branchwraiths.

  • Maw Preacher: Grants flaming attacks to Butchers & Slaughtermasters.

  • Big Daddy: Now adds +25% mass.

  • Hideous Visage: -8 Leadership to self, retains contact effect.

  • Diabolic Splendour (Norsca): Gains Glittering Scales; WoC version removed.

  • Sharp (Cathay): Yin characters now receive correctly.

  • Captain of the Royal Chariot Guard: Increased charge, melee attack, melee defence.


AI

  • Fixed recruitment issue where AI mismanaged free units and budget allocation.


Battle

  • Sand Veil now grants turn speed for large constructs to better evade and reposition.


Bug Fixes

General Gameplay

  • Fixed Tomb Kings arrow projectile mixups and standardized Khalida archer upgrades.

  • Eye of the Dragon now updates correctly when used.

  • Fixed “Missing string” issue in Bretonnian diplomacy.

  • Improved AI unit recruitment prioritization.

  • Fixed bug where Unusual Locations reactivated in multiplayer despite being disabled.

  • Resolved TW Launcher performance issue (requires one launch for updates to apply).

Skills & Traits

  • Virtue of Confidence fixed to restore movement; removed from Paladins.

  • Khatep’s Soul Binding correctly applies Unyielding Assault.

  • Updated “Orrible Smell” icon.

  • Fourth Generation Slann trait applies only vs corruption factions.

  • King Wakhaf trait now displays properly.

  • Necrotect skills now unlock correctly.

  • Lore Keeper barrier applies to character only.

  • Mortuary Cult Scholar no longer redundantly unlocks Liche Priests everywhere.

  • Coiling Alacrity no longer grants redundant Vanguard.

  • Grimgor’s Hatred skill now visible.

  • Honoured Elder applies control factionwide again.

UI/UX

  • Skill icon for “Orrible Smell” updated to Immune to Contact Effect.

Environment/Unit Models

  • Bastiladon horns now correctly textured.
