The Finals update 1.7.0 is now available to download on PC, PS5 and Xbox players. According to the official The Finals 1.7 patch notes, the latest update introduces significant changes to progression mechanics, particularly focusing on XP earning adjustments and VoIP settings. Apart from this, today’s The Finals patch 1.7.0 also includes various bug fixes and changes.
A major update was released recently, that added new changes, gameplay adjustments, and more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players have been experiencing issues with the game. Today’s The Finals update 1.7.0 will fix a few of these issues.
The Finals Patch 1.7 Notes – February 8, 2024
- Progression Changes:
- Increased the amount of XP given for Weekly Goals from 4000 to 9000 (+)
- Reduced the number of Weekly Contracts that need to be completed to get the Weekly Goal from 8 to 6 (-)
- XP
- Increased the amount of XP given for opening a vault from 100 to 200 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for starting a cashout from 100 to 300 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for completing a cashout from 200 to 400 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for stealing a cashout from 100 to 300 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given per coin delivered in Bank It mode from 50 to 80 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for finishing in 4th place in a round from 100 to 200 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for finishing in 3rd place in a round from 200 to 400 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for finishing in 2nd place in a round from 400 to 600 (+)
- Increased the amount of XP given for finishing in 1st place in a round from 600 to 800 (+)
- Content and Bug Fixes:
- Disabled the ‘Dead Go Boom’ game show event temporarily due to its impact on melee users.
- Added a ‘play again’ button to streamline the end-of-round sequence for party players.
- VoIP Settings:
- VoIP enabled by default on PC with Push To Talk as default input, and on console with Voice Activated as default input.
- The aim is to encourage more teamplay in matches, with players having the option to disable VoIP via settings.
- Upcoming Fixes:
- Acknowledgment of issues with red canisters’ explosive power and unintentional stacking damage in barrels, with promises of fixes in the next major update.
- Technical Changes:
- Modifications and additions to game files, including bundle additions and removals, as well as modifications to executable and pak files.
