The Division 2 Update 2.01 Patch Notes (TU23)

The Division 2 update 2.01 (TU v23) is available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the official Division 2 2.01 patch notes, the latest season features expanded stash space, new gear, weapons, talents, quality-of-life changes, and an optional Season Pass with exclusive rewards. Apart from this, Division 2 patch 2.01 also includes momentum-based combat and new exotic items.

Division 2 2.01 Patch Notes (Title Update 23) – February 25, 2025

Modifiers

Global Modifier: Rogue Momentum

Build Momentum by eliminating enemies. Different kills grant varying amounts:
- Standard enemies: Small boost.
- Headshots, skill-based kills, multi-kills, and explosive takedowns: Larger boosts.
- Elite targets: Highest Momentum gains.
Momentum Tiers unlock combat bonuses:
- Tier 1 (Calculated): +5% Weapon/Skill Damage.
- Tier 2 (Swift): +10% Weapon/Skill Damage, +10% Movement Speed, +5% Reload Speed.
- Tier 3 (Ruthless): +15% Weapon/Skill Damage, +15% Movement Speed, +10% Reload Speed, +15% Rate of Fire.
- Tier 4 (Savage): +20% Weapon/Skill Damage, +20% Movement Speed, +15% Reload Speed, +20% Rate of Fire.
- Tier 5 (Unstoppable): +20% Weapon/Skill Damage, +20% Movement Speed, +20% Reload Speed, +25% Rate of Fire, and Skill Overcharge (faster ability use).
Momentum decays over time and slows when taking damage. Sprinting for 2+ seconds reduces decay, and using Pulse stops decay for 5 seconds.

Blacklisted Enemies

Randomly marked enemies with a slashed icon.
Eliminating them grants:
- Standard: +7% Momentum.
- Elite: +10% Momentum.
Bonus: Gain “Energized” for 15 seconds (+10% weapon handling and critical hit chance).
Warning: If not eliminated quickly, they drain your Momentum.

Active Modifiers

Overdrive: Instantly max Momentum to 100% for powerful bonuses. Afterward, Momentum gain is reduced by 70% for 150 seconds.
Vendetta: Mark enemies. Killing them grants tank bonuses; failing to do so reduces armor and health.
Tactical Supremacy: Doubles Passive Modifier effects temporarily. Freezes Momentum gain from Passives and prevents Blacklisted enemies from draining Momentum.

Passive Modifiers

Choose up to 3 from 12 options. Examples:
- Explosive Amp: Seeker Mine deals 100% more damage to Blacklisted enemies.
- Critical Recovery: Critical hits restore 5% max armor.
- Momentum Surge: Skill kills double Momentum gain.
- Reaper Scan: Pulse-scanned enemies have a 25% chance to be Blacklisted.
- Fortified Shield: Doubles Shield health.

Hostile Countermeasures

Enemies gain Frenzy, increasing their rate of fire, movement speed, and armor/health regen. Frenzy scales with Season progress.

Expanded Stash Space

Warlords of New York (WONY) owners: +50 stash slots.
Year 1 Pass holders: +50 stash slots.
Stash upgrades apply to both standard and hardcore characters.

New Gear, Weapons & Talents

New Exotic Weapon: Oxpecker (SMG)

Talent: Symbiosis: While Shield is deployed, lose 10% Shield health per second. Shield repairs 25% of damage dealt by this weapon.
Mods: +10 Rounds, +50% Optimal Range, +15% Crit Chance.

New Exotic Gear: Exodus (Gloves)

Talent: Smoke Screen:
- PvE: On armor break, drop a Smoke Bomb (3s concealment). Cooldown: 40s.
- PvP: On armor break, drop a Smoke Bomb (2s Pulse Resistance and nameplate hide). Cooldown: 40s.
Attributes: Red Core, Critical Chance, Critical Damage.

New Gear Set: Refactor

2 Pieces: +15% Status Effects.
3 Pieces: +25% Skill Damage.
4 Pieces: Unlocks Talent: Return to Sender:
- PvE: Skills repair 10% of damage dealt (20% for allies).
- PvP: Skills repair 5% of damage dealt (10% for allies).
Chest Talent: Increased Interest: Boosts Return to Sender repairs.
Backpack Talent: Over-engineered: At full armor, repairs grant Bonus Armor (up to 80% of total armor).

New Brand Set: Shiny Monkey

1 Piece: +15% Skill Duration.
2 Pieces: +5% Skill Efficiency.
3 Pieces: +52% Repair Skills.

Named Gear Pieces:

Axel (Backpack): Talent “Perfect Energize” – Armor kits grant +1 Skill Tier for 15s (or Overcharge at Tier 6).
Grease (Kneepads): Talent “Perfect Attribute” – +16% Status Effects.

New Named Weapons & Talents

Rusty (RPK-74): Talent “Perfect Pressure Point” – +20% Weapon Damage to enemies under Status Effect.
Goalie (FAL): Talent “Perfect Pressure Point” – +20% Weapon Damage to enemies under Status Effect.

Master Climax Mission

Completing it for the first time guarantees the Exotic Backpack: Birdie’s Quick Fix.
Talent: Combat Medic:
- +50% Revive Speed, -50% Weakened debuff time.
- Provides 50% damage Resistance during revives and for 5s after.
- Successful revives grant +1 Skill Tier for 30s (or Overcharge at Tier 6).

Quality of Life Changes

Modifiers removed from Priority Objectives and added to Season Journey rewards.
Active Modifiers trigger without aiming down sights (ADS).
Clearer visibility of Active Modifier duration and cooldown.
Season Pass Progression Boost: +10% for active Seasonal Modifiers (stacks with Premium bonuses).
Priority Objectives: Reroll bars refill to 3 every 24 hours.

Season Pass

Price: 1000 Premium Credits ($9.99).
Premium+ Option: $29.99 (includes Premium Pass and extra rewards).
Rewards:
- Premium Track: 10 gear dyes, 9 weapon skins, 2 outfits, 2 Prestige Arm Patches, 600 Premium Credits.
- Free Track: 1 outfit, 1 weapon skin.

Miscellaneous

Exotic Weapons: No changes to Ouroboros, Strega, Chameleon, Bullet King, The Ravenous, Diamondback.
Weapon Balancing: No changes to FAL, Vector 45, The Sleigher, L86, M1A Variants, 1886, M45A1.
Scavenger Points: Rebalanced for better resource rewards.
