Top Changes (Summary Highlights)

  • Companion behavior, responsiveness, and Command Link systems heavily improved.

Companion System Overview

  • NPC Companions can be recruited and commanded in combat.

  • They follow Squad Leader commands: reposition, focus fire, support, activate abilities via Command Link.

  • Companions function as Active Modifiers shaped by seasonal Modifiers (Active, Passive, Hostile).

Recruitment

  • Recruit defected True Sons found in Washington DC encounters or Mutiny Events.

  • Surviving defectors can be persuaded post-combat.

  • Once recruited, Companions can join missions anywhere up to Legendary difficulty.

Archetypes

  • Assault – aggressive frontline with cover use.

  • Medic – healing, cleansing, revives.

  • Engineer – area denial, turrets, close-range defense.

  • Start with Assault, recruit Medic and Engineer from open world.

  • Companions roll Traits (offense/defense/mobility/resistance) varying per archetype.

Global Modifier – Command Link

  • Builds via coordinated actions: marking, shared damage, support actions.

  • Grants short buffs and Command Link Points.

  • Full meter unlocks Active Modifier abilities which level up with XP.

Co-op Rules

  • Only one active Companion per group; deploy duration 90s per agent.

Talent: Transfusion

  • Headshots build up to 8 stacks.

  • Shooting an Ally/Skill heals for 50% of shot damage per stack.

  • At max stacks, healing guarantees headshots for 8s.

  • Ally Crit Damage: 20% → 30%

  • Ally Skill Efficiency: 10% → 15%

  • Ally Armor Regen: 1% → 2%

Immobilize – Weapon Talent

  • PvP override: 10% (15%) amplified damage.
