Silent Hill 2 update 1.005 is available to download on PlayStation 5 and PC. According to Silent Hill 2 1.005 patch notes, the latest update 1..05 addresses a critical Labyrinth progression blocker. Additionally, Silent Hill 2 version 1.005 (1.005.000) also adds Steam Cloud Save support, with auto-syncing to the latest save on PC.
Recently, a minor Silent Hill 2 update 1.003 and patch 1.004 added quality of life changes. Unfortunately, since the release, players have been experiencing several issues. Today’s Silent Hill 2 patch 1.005 will fix a few of these issues. Remaining issues will be addressed with upcoming Silent Hill 2 update 1.006.

- Labyrinth Progression Blocker
- Fixed an issue that blocked progress for players loading a save made in the Labyrinth (post-Toluca Prison) from previous versions. A safeguard is now in place to activate necessary progression triggers, ensuring uninterrupted gameplay.

- Steam Cloud Saves
- Enabled Steam Cloud support for PC players on Steam. The game will auto-sync to the most recent cloud save, overwriting any older local saves. Players are encouraged to back up local saves if retaining multiple versions is preferred.
