Rainbow Six Siege update Y8S1 details released for PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One. According to R6 Y8S1 patch notes, the latest update brings operator balancing changes and weapon balancing. Apart from this, Rainbow 6 Siege patch Y8S1 also includes various other fixes.
Previously, a big season 7 update added a new defender Azami (Kiba barrier gadget), permanent Team Deathmatch mode, and changes for Goyo, Melusi, Thunderbird, Kali, Valkyrie, and Zero. Recently, a hotfix Y7S1.2 was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s R6 Siege update Y8S1 will fix a few of these issues.

- The camera won’t pierce the surface automatically.
- The piercing action can only be initiated by Zero and only when controlling a deployed Argus Camera.
- Once the camera has pierced a surface, any living attacker can swap sides.
WEAPON BALANCE

WEAPON RELOAD SYSTEM
- If you interrupt the reload animation after the magazine is removed the weapon will remain without a magazine until the animation is completed.
- The ammunition is available once the magazine is attached to the weapon.
- If the weapon uses a closed bolt system, a bullet will remain in the chamber, if a reload of a partially spent magazine is interrupted. You can shoot this bullet at any time.
