Rainbow Six Siege update 2.77 (version 1.000.081) is available to download on PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official R6 update 2.77 patch notes, the latest update brings significant improvements to rappel functionality, numerous bug fixes across gameplay, level design, operator interactions, user experience, and audio. Apart from this, Rainbow 6 Siege patch 2.77 also enhances overall player comfort and addresses multiple critical issues to improve the gaming experience.

Previously, a big season 7 update added a new defender Azami (Kiba barrier gadget), permanent Team Deathmatch mode, and changes for Goyo, Melusi, Thunderbird, Kali, Valkyrie, and Zero. Player Comfort

  • Feature Delay: A last-minute bug caused a delay in the implementation of a planned feature to a future season.

Rappel Improvements

  • Instant Rappel: Rappel can now be entered instantly and from a further distance while sprinting towards a rappel point.

  • Target Drill: Fixed issue allowing more target eliminations than stated during Map Training.
  • Enemy Scanning: Enemies scanned by Observation Tool in AI Bot matches are now pinged correctly.
  • Tutorial Flow: Fixed completion issues in both Attack and Defense tutorials.
  • Clear Shield: Talon-8 Clear Shield no longer remains in hand when destroyed.
  • Points Loss: Operators now lose points when destroying their own devices.
  • Barriers: Azami’s Kiba Barrier no longer prevents wall reinforcement destruction.
  • AI Bots: Fixed AI Bot behavior and speed issues in Versus AI mode.
  • Electrical Damage: Operators now receive electrical damage when re-entering electrified areas.
  • Shield Damage: Missing shield damage animation from Suppressive Fire effect fixed.
  • Tutorial Completion: Fixed issues preventing Basics Tutorial completion if restarted midway.
Level Design
  • Drone Hiding: Fixed issue allowing drone hiding in ceiling vent on Kanal map.
  • Player Stuck: Fixed multiple locations where players could get stuck or clip through objects on various maps.
  • Line of Sight: Addressed unintended lines of sight and unfair advantages on multiple maps.
  • Destruction Issues: Fixed destructible walls not breaking correctly with explosives.
  • Collision and Texture: Various collision, asset, and texture issues across maps fixed.
Operators
  • Flores’ Charge: Fixed first-person view lock after detonating RCE-RATERO Charge.
  • Brava’s Drone: Fixed excessive device hacking when canceling hacks.
  • Grim’s Hive: Corrected permanent effects on Vigil by Grim’s Kawan Hive.
  • Operator Display: Fixed display issues for operators during selection and gameplay.
  • Deployable Devices: Fixed issues with deployable devices on Alibi’s Prisma Holograms and other interactions.
  • Amaru’s Hook: Corrected use of Garra Hook on specific map locations.
  • Device Interactions: Fixed interactions and behaviors of various operator devices.
User Experience
  • Weapon Stats: Fixed issues with weapon stats display, aiming down sight times, and reload speed comparisons.
  • UI Elements: Corrected multiple UI elements, including scrollbars, extra elements, and image issues.
