Rainbow Six Siege update Y8S2 details released for PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One. According to R6 Y8S2 patch notes, the latest update adds a new defender (Fenrir), map rework, new changes, and fixes. Apart from this, Rainbow 6 Siege patch Y8S2 also includes more lanes for the Shooting Range, a Permanent Arcade playlist, a buff for Grim and his Kawan Hive Launcher, and more.
Previously, a big season 7 update added a new defender Azami (Kiba barrier gadget), permanent Team Deathmatch mode, and changes for Goyo, Melusi, Thunderbird, Kali, Valkyrie, and Zero. Recently, a hotfix Y7S1.2 was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s R6 update Y8S2 will fix a few of these issues.

New Defender: Fenrir

- Gadget: F-NATT Dread Mine
- Throwable device that sticks to surfaces and releases fear-inducing gas when nearby opponents are detected & gadget is activated
- Restricts vision for attackers when in gas to a few meters
- Only 3 of a total of 5 mines can be actived at once
