Rainbow Six Siege update Y8S2.3 details released for PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One. According to R6 Y8S2.3 patch notes, the latest update add quality-of-life changes and improvements. Apart from this, Rainbow 6 Siege patch Y8S3 also includes stability fixes.
Previously, a big season 7 update added a new defender Azami (Kiba barrier gadget), permanent Team Deathmatch mode, and changes for Goyo, Melusi, Thunderbird, Kali, Valkyrie, and Zero. Recently, a hotfix Y7S1.2 was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing issues with the game. Today’s R6 update Y8S2.3 will fix a few of these issues.

Rainbow Six Siege Update Y8S2.3 Patch Notes – July 11, 2023
Operator Balancing:
- Thorn (Defender):
- UZK50GI: Added 1.5x sight.
- Nøkk (Attacker):
- HEL Presence Reduction: Remove silent steps while the ability is active.
- Increase duration of the ability to 20 seconds (from 12).
- Vigil (Defender):
- ERC-7: On observation tools, Vigil will share the same glitching effect as Nøkk.
- The ability won’t deactivate while performing certain actions like shooting, and will instead trigger the glitch effect on observation tools.
- Vigil won’t be immune to Lion’s EE-ONE-D or Grim’s Kawan Hive, but he can prevent being pinged down by activating the ERC-7.
- ERC-7: On observation tools, Vigil will share the same glitching effect as Nøkk.
- Oryx (Defender):
- Hatch Climb: Reduced hatch climb interaction time by 30%.
OPERATOR BALANCING
VIGIL
- Vigil shares glitching behavior with Nøkk.
- ERC-7 Video Disruptor glitch effect triggered on cameras even while performing actions like shooting.
- Lion’s EE-ONE-D and Grim’s Kawan Hive can detect Vigil, but he can prevent being pinged by activating the ERC-7.
NØKK
- HEL gadget no longer reduces movement sounds.
- Maximum duration increased to 20 seconds (from 12).
- Added new glitching sources like being flashed or pushed.
- Nøkk is no longer immune to Alibi’s Prisma, but can prevent being pinged by activating the HEL gadget.
THORN
- UZK50GI equipped with a 1.5x sight.
ORYX
- Hatch climb speed increased by 30%.
BUG FIXES
GAMEPLAY
- Fixed issue of missing unlimited ammo in the Snipers Arcade after joining a match in progress.
- Fixed detection of devices placed on the back wall of 2F Main Stairs in the Skyscraper map.
USER EXPERIENCE
- Fixed flashing of Battle Pass map on screen when going to the Progress section.
- Fixed error received when accepting a Squad invite from a player that was part of the same Squad in a previous match.
- Fixed various Shop and Customization issues.
