PUBG Update 1.012 Patch Notes (PS5 Version 1.012.000)

PUBG update 1.012 (v1.012.000) is available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox One. According to the official PUBG 1.012 patch notes, the latest update 40.1 restores Erangel to its standard state, rebalances Mk12 and SLR, upgrades combat-critical UX/UI, and introduces PUBG Bridge 2D replays. Ranked shifts toward TPP alignment with esports, and consoles gain a Virtual Cursor. Additionally, PUBG console version 1.012.000 also brings quality of life changes.

Erangel Updates

Map Restoration

• Erangel: Subzero features fully removed.

• All-In-One Repair Kit, Emergency Cover Flare, and Jammer Pack moved to Secret Rooms.

• Red Zone and ferries reinstated.

Gunplay Adjustments

DMR Balance

• Mk12: Damage 44 → 43; horizontal recoil +8%.

• SLR: Horizontal recoil −4%.

Gameplay UX/UI Enhancements

Throwable Inventory Display

• Shows up to six Throwable types with quantities when switching or pulling a Throwable.

• Auto-hides after a short time; excludes Tactical Pack items; not available in spectating modes.

Squad Status UI

• New icons for healing, reviving, carrying, swimming, and firing indicators.

• Icons visible on squad list, Minimap, and World Map.

• Not shown in Observer squad list.

Blue Zone Alert Updates

• New cues at 1 min, 30 sec, and 10 sec before restriction.

Previously, a major PUBG update 1.007 (39.1) added freezing Blue Zone effects, heavy map alterations, and dynamic winter weather. The new BZ Grenade Launcher expands tactical control with deployable Blue Zone spheres. Gunplay sees major recoil tuning across VSS, SLR, SKS, AUG, and M416. Casual Mode shifts to a 60-minute limit, while UGC Alpha returns with new devices and modes. Unfortunately, since the last major update, players are experiencing issues with the game. Today’s PUBG patch 1.012 will fix a few of these issues.
