NBA 2K22 Update 1.016 Patch Notes (Season 7) – Official

2K Games has released a new NBA 2K22 update 1.016 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official NBA 2K22 1.016 patch notes, the latest update added support for season 7. Apart from this, today’s NBA 2K22 patch 1.016 also includes general likeness or tattoo updates for players.

Previously, a minor update added MyCareer fixes and improvements. Recently, a hotfix was also released. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing a number of issues with the game. Today’s NBA 2K22 version 1.016.000 will fix a few of these issues.

  • Added support for the NBA 2K22 Season 7.
  • XP Coin inventory will now properly update after receiving one from a quest reward without the need to re-enter MyCAREER.

  • Addressed a rare issue in which a made shot will not count after a defensive goaltending violation occurs.
  • Fixed an improper animation transition that allowed players to unrealistically change momentum and direction when branching from a quick stop move to a hop step gather.
  • Addressed an issue that caused zeroed out stats to display on the match up screen in the REC.


  • Addressed an issue preventing the “Somewhere over the…” Trophy/Achievement from being unlocked on PS4 /XB1 when the Unicorn Ball is obtained on PS5/Xbox Series X|S.
  • Fixed player reveal walkouts when ‘Flip All’ is used while highlighting a Dark Matter player card.

NBA 2K22 Season 7 will launch this Friday, May 20th, at 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST.
