NARUTO X BORUTO Connections Update 1.40 Patch Notes

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS update 1.40 is available to download on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official NARUTO X BORUTO Connections 1.40 patch notes, the latest update introduces Kawaki as a playable character, new costumes, and disconnection penalties. Additionally, it includes numerous bug fixes and battle balance adjustments to improve gameplay experience. Apart from this, today’s Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS version 1.20 also includes stability fixes.

Previously, a major update added a new DLC to the game. Unfortunately, players are still facing some issues with the game. Today’s NxBC patch 1.40 will fix a few of these issues. Read more details below.

NARUTO X BORUTO Connections Version 1.20 Patch Notes – July 24, 2024

New Content

• Playable Character:
  • Kawaki (Karma Progression)
• Costumes:
  • Naruto Uzumaki (Ichiraku Ramen Costume)
  • Hinata Hyuga (ROAD TO SAKURA)
• Voice Matching:
  • 12 new matching voices
• Ninja Info Card Images:
  • 5 new images
• Availability:
  • Available for players with DLC Pack 4 or the Season Pass (DLC Packs 1-5).
  • DLC Pack 4 available on July 25, 2024.

Disconnection Penalties

• Penalty Conditions:
  • Trust Level decreases with each disconnection from Online Battles (except Custom Matches).
  • Repeated disconnections lead to penalties once Trust Level Icon changes to Orange.
  • Trust Level can be recovered by completing Online Battles normally.
• Penalties:
  • Limited time Matching Restriction for Online Battles.
  • Reduction of Battle Points (BP).
  • Penalties increase in severity with continued disconnections.
• Trust Level Reset:
  • All players’ Trust Levels reset during implementation.

Bug Fixes Related to Battles

• Puppet Characters:
  • Fixed unintentional use of ninja tools for Kankuro (all versions), Sasori, and Chiyo.
• Hagoromo Otsutsuki:
  • Fixed Ninjutsu 1 “Divine Thunder” disappearance issue.
• Choji Akimichi (BORUTO):
  • Fixed excessive defensive priority while Awakened.

Battle Balance Adjustments

• Overall Adjustments:
  • Removed follow-up attacks on downed opponents for Shuriken, Kunai Rain, and Burst Kunai.
• Character Adjustments:
  • Naruto Uzumaki (Various Modes):
    • Slower recovery speeds for certain Ninjutsu.
    • Increased defense and damage adjustments for specific moves.
  • Might Guy:
    • Reduced defense and adjusted Ninjutsu 1 “Dynamic Entry”.
  • Shikamaru Nara:
    • Adjusted recovery speed for Ninjutsu 2 “Explosive Parachute”.
  • Ino Yamanaka:
    • Added poison effect to certain Ninjutsu and increased stun duration for ground-level combos.
  • Kiba Inuzuka:
    • Reduced damage for various Ninjutsu and combos.
  • Hinata Hyuga:
    • Adjusted recovery speed for Ninjutsu 2 “8 Trigrams Air Palm”.
  • Shisui Uchiha:
    • Reduced defense and adjusted damage and effects for various attacks.
  • Other Characters:
    • Numerous adjustments for specific characters, including damage reduction, increased recovery times, and altered effects to balance gameplay.

Other Changes

• Exchange Tickets:
  • Added items that can be traded for Exchange Tickets obtainable through Ninja Battle.
• Miscellaneous:
  • Fixed various minor bugs.
