MLB The Show Update Summary
- Offline Home Run Derby now uses a swing-based format.
- Bear Down pitching and same-handed breaking pitch hitting have been adjusted.
- Updated All-Star Game rosters have been added.
- Fixed the Diamond Dynasty standings logo issue.
- Added multiple player likeness updates.
MLB The Show Patch Notes
General
- Updated offline Home Run Derby rules.
- Removed the timer and outs from all rounds.
- Every swing now counts toward the player’s total swing limit.
- Round 1 now features 20 total swings.
- Removed the Round 1 bonus round.
- Removed the first-round bracket format.
- Round 1 ties are now decided by the longest home run distance.
- Round 2 and the Final Round now feature 15 total swings.
- Round 2 and Final Round ties are now decided with a three-swing swing-off.
- Players who hit a home run on their final allotted swing receive extra swings until they fail to hit another home run.
- Updated All-Star Game rosters have been added.
Gameplay
- Each Bear Down pitch now guarantees maximum top-end velocity.
- Perfect Bear Down input now creates an even smaller PAR.
- Increased PCI size against same-handed breaking pitches low and away, making these pitches less punishing while keeping them challenging to hit.
Diamond Dynasty
- Fixed an issue where default team logos appeared in the Standings screen.
