How to fix “This Account is not Permitted to Play Online” issue in PS5?

If you are getting the message “This Account is not Permitted to Play Online” please make sure you have exited out of the lobby in the PS4 version before launching the next-gen upgrade.

If you don’t see any option to upgrade try following these steps: Search for Apex in the store> press the three dots > select Apex Legends > the PS5 page should pop up and allow you to download the game.
