Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) update 9.09 (5.55) for PS4 and Xbox One is now available for download. This update is also rolling out on PS5 (1.000.030). According to the official Final Fantasy 14 update 9.09 patch notes, the latest update added new quests, various fixes, and tweaks. Apart from this, the latest FF14 version 9.09 also includes stability fixes.
Previously, a big update added a conclusion to the Shadowbringers story and the second installment of YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse, courtesy of guest creators Yosuke Saito and YOKO TARO.

The following issues have been addressed.
- An issue when undertaking the quest “Sleep Now in Sapphire” wherein a cup did not display during a cutscene (PlayStation®5 only).
- An issue wherein the age of Menenius sas Lanatus noted in his Field Record entry was incorrect.
* His age was erroneously written as 45 years old, and has been corrected to 55 years old.
* Updated Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) - An issue wherein the age of Mikoto Jinba noted in her Field Record entry was incorrect.
* Her age was erroneously written as 29 years old, and has been corrected to 24 years old.
* Updated Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) - An issue wherein the hairstyle “Early to Rise” caused clipping with certain gear when playing as an Au Ra.
- An issue wherein the ninja PvE actions Goka Mekkyaku and Hyosho Ranryu appeared grayed out even when ready to be activated.
- An issue wherein the graphics of the gear Omega Coat of Scouting did not display correctly when worn by female Lalafells (PlayStation®5 only).

- An issue wherein the “Maximum” mouse cursor size setting would not be saved after logging out (PlayStation®5 only).
