FFXIV 6.48 Patch Notes (FF14 Patch 6.48)

[Final Fantasy XIV] FFXIV patch 6.48 details released for PC, PS4(10.13), and PS5 players. According to the official FFXIV 6.48 patch notes, the latest update introduces PvP action adjustments, including potency increases and new effects for various classes. Apart from this, today’s FF14 patch 6.48 also addresses issues, such as a bug in the Omega Protocol and minor text fixes, alongside adjustments to the Guard common action timing.

Previously, a big FFXIV update 6.3 added two new jobs, reaper and sage, an increased level cap of 90, the new male Viera race, and so much more. Unfortunately, since the last major FFXIV patch 6.41, players are facing a long list of bug fixes and gameplay changes. Today’s FFXIV patch 6.48 (Ver 10.13) will address a few of these issues.

[Final Fantasy 14] FFXIV 6.48 Patch Notes (FF14 6.48) – August 8, 2023

Summary of Patch 6.48 Notes for FINAL FANTASY XIV:

Paladin:

1. Blade of Faith: Potency increased from 4,000 to 6,000.
2. Blade of Truth: Potency increased from 6,000 to 7,000.

Gunbreaker:

1. Draw and Junction: Action can now target self and party members. The additional effect Powder Barrel will only be granted when targeting an enemy.

Black Mage:

1. Soul Resonance: Now grants the effect Apocatastasis.

White Mage:

1. Miracle of Nature: Recast time increased from 25 to 30 seconds.
2. Afflatus Purgation: Cure potency of the Regen effect granted by Temperance reduced from 4,000 to 3,000.

Astrologian:

1. Aspected Benefic: Cure potency of Diurnal Benefic increased from 1,000 to 2,000. Effect duration of Diurnal Benefic increased from 12 to 15 seconds. Barrier potency of Nocturnal Benefic increased from 4,000 to 5,000.

System Changes:

1. Guard common action: Time until it can be manually disabled increased from 1 to 2.5 seconds to prevent accidental disabling when repeatedly pressing the action button. (Note: Time until other actions can be disabled remains unchanged.)

Crystalline Conflict:

1. Season Seven will end, and Season Eight will begin.
2. Top 100 ranking players from each data center will receive vouchers via the moogle delivery service at the end of the season.
3. Players in bronze tier or higher can claim rewards by speaking with the Seasonal Quartermaster at the Wolves’ Den Pier (X:4.9 Y:5.7).
4. Tier rewards for Season Seven must be claimed before the end of Season Eight.
5. Players will begin Season Eight five risers lower than the rank they finished Season Seven.
6. Rising Stars will be reset to zero.
7. The commendation quartermaster NPC has been moved to (X:4.5 Y:6.2) on Wolves’ Den Pier.
8. The division of Radz-at-Han into multiple instances, added in Patch 6.4 to alleviate congestion, will be removed.

Resolved Issues:

1. An issue in the first phase of the Omega Protocol (Ultimate) wherein players who removed the Looper status effect with the tower mechanic would erroneously take damage when reentering the tower.
2. Other minor text issues have been addressed.
3. Various other issues have also been addressed.
