Factorio update 2.0.39 is rolling out on PC(Steam). According to the official Factorio patch notes, the latest update brings a long list of changes and gameplay fixes. Apart from this, Factorio patch 2.0.39 also includes stability improvements.
Previously, a major Factorio update 1.1.75 added various fixes for crashes and more. Unfortunately, players are still experiencing several issues since the last major patch. Today’s Factorio patch 2.0.39 will address a few of these errors.
Factorio Update Patch Notes – March 11, 2025
Balancing:
- Oil Refinery now collides with ice platforms.
- Water-mud and water-shallow tiles can now be landfillable in vanilla.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed various crashes related to GUI, mods, and gameplay mechanics.
- Addressed issues with train schedules, inserter behavior, and space platform functionality.
- Resolved inconsistencies in deconstruction, construction, and entity interactions.
- Fixed graphical and sound-related bugs, including incorrect tooltips and animations.
- Improved performance and stability for cargo pods, demolishers, and other entities.
Changes:
- Added new GUI sounds and walking sounds for various entities.
- Adjusted walking and driving sound attenuation with zoom level.
- Improved blueprint parametrisation UI with additional info.
- Increased minimum sprite atlas size to 4096.
- Space platforms will no longer request materials for unbuildable entity ghosts.
Graphics:
- Added destroyed graphics for crushers and space platform thrusters.
- Improved icons for cargo pods and space platform-related items.
- Fixed water reflections and updated recipe colors in biochambers.
Minor Features:
- Added drag-to-reorder functionality for filters in various GUIs.
- Added fluid contents to pumpjack tooltips and fluid temperatures to Factoriopedia.
- Furnaces can now be connected to the circuit network.
- Added options to control Programmable speaker sounds via circuit network.
Modding:
- Added new prototype properties for assembling machines, furnaces, and loaders.
- Introduced new entity types like “infinity-cargo-wagon” and “proxy-container.”
- Removed deprecated sound-related properties and unified rendering limits.
Optimizations:
- Improved performance for cargo pods, demolishers, and inserters.
- Reduced simulation for off-screen demolishers and irrelevant entities.
Scripting:
- Added new Lua functions and events for cargo pods, space platforms, and trains.
- Introduced new inventory types and factoriopedia-related properties.
- Enhanced functionality for custom inputs, entity interactions, and schedule management.
