A new Escape From Tarkov update 0.16.8 is now available to download on PC(Steam). According to the official Tarkov patch notes, the latest update introduces a Hardcore Wipe for a tougher progression, new Prestige levels with retained progression and cosmetic rewards, the powerful AK-50 rifle, smarter AI spawns, and key QoL improvements like stash scroll and stacking limits. PvE remains unchanged. Apart from this Escape From Tarkov patch 16.8 also includes stability and gameplay performance improvements.

- Hardcore Wipe launched: Overhauled core systems for a more punishing experience.
