Dying Light 2 Patch 1.45 Notes for PS4 & PS5(1.045)

Dying Light 2 update 1.45 (1.045) is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox. According to the official Dying Light 2 1.45 patch notes, the latest update brings various tweaks and changes. Apart from his Dying Light 2 version 1.45 (1.045.000) also includes stability fixes.

Previously, a major Dying Light 2 patch 1.34 added a new Bloody Ties DLC. Unfortunately, some players are still facing bugs and various issues with the coop and multiplayer. Today’s DL2 update 1.45 will fix a few of these issues.

Dying Light 2 Update 1.45 Patch Notes

  • Items given throughout the story will now be dropped on the ground if they did not fit into the inventory or stash
  • Players who lost the Tolga and Fatin quest items because their inventory and stash were full will now receive them after loading the game or sleeping in-game. An empty inventory and stash slot is required
  • Fixed an issue with a redundant blurry screen after using the performance benchmark option
  • Fixed an issue with Delta sometimes visibly clipping with environmental objects
  • Some changes to POIs, noises and flashlight making AI behavior more natural
  • Fixed an issue with a redundant shotgun available for purchase at Jai’s store
  • Fixed a crash that could occur while throwing molotovs while in a co-op session
  • Fixed an issue with missing additional loot from all containers inside the THV Genomics Center
  • Fixed an issue with players not being able to pick up their dropped items after dying
  • Fixed an issue with showing negative numbers in statistics on Survivor Mission summary screens
  • Fixed visual glitches that could happen while using FSR/FSR2 upscalers
  • Fixed an issue with improper light distribution in the Saint Paul Cathedral
  • Fixed an issue with melee weapon damage affix for Villedor Monsters gear pieces which granted 70% bonus damage instead of 7%
  • Fixed an issue in the Lost Armory quest where both players in co-op could get stuck in a ‘Quest Failed’ screen if they failed when chasing Tackhead
  • UI text and translation tweaks
  • Fixed an issue with missing items if the player has a full stash and adds a new item into it
  • Items should return to players who lost them
  • Added a warning screen for the action
  • Rebalanced erroneously re-rolled gear affixes to pre-update state
  • Fixed an issue with player being unable to run if they changed weapon while aiming
  • Fixed one-time tutorials appearing on Community Maps
  • Fixed an issue where names of “Carriers Guild Locker” and “Board” are swapped in the Map legend
  • Fixed an issue with the Chi-Tu Charm granting -25% stamina cost with melee weapons instead of -15%
  • Fixed an issue where the First Pilgrim gear pieces restored 100% stamina instead of 10%
  • Added more variants of weak Biters to the AI population
  • Localisation and translation tweaks
  • Fixed an issue with missing items if player has a full stash and adds new item into it.
  • Items should be brought back to players who lost it.
  • Added warning screen for the action.

  • Enhanced jumping, landing, and balancing animations.
  • Sped-up elevator and landing bags animations.
  • Active landing skill usable while paragliding.
  • Adjustable head-bob animation in settings.
  • Shortened car safety landing animation duration with improved VFX feedback.
  • Refined gameplay mechanics for Slide Jump, Bash, Crown Runner, and Sleek Runner skills.

Parkour Options:

  • Assisted Parkour for beginners, maintaining the original experience.
  • Physical Parkour for a grounded and intense journey, with the ability to disable “jump magnets” for authenticity.

Additional Features:

Sliding Down Billboards:

  • Added ability to slide down billboards with a knife for a more immersive experience.

Mod.io In-Game Integration:

  • Community Maps section in the main menu for PC players to explore custom maps.
  • Separate standalone experiences from the main campaign.
  • Single playthrough completion as progress cannot be saved.
  • Co-op integration not available for Community Maps.
  • “Script” mods that modify gameplay are not supported.
  • Mod.io integration for PlayStation, Xbox, and Steamdeck coming later this year.

Enhanced Graphics:

  • SSR Ultra graphics option for improved reflections and drawing distance.
  • LOD range multiplier extended for Quality and RT presets.
  • New color grading option called “Harran Sunset.”
  • Ability to throw weapons and retrieve them later.

Co-op:

  • Fixed game crashes when entering the inventory after teleporting and going to sleep.

  • Dying Light 2 update 1.35 fixed ledge grabbing on certain objects.
  • Improved rendering of fire from burning bodies at a greater distance.
  • Virals no longer spawn directly in Aiden’s position during the chase sequence in the Getting Stronger quest.
  • “Afterboost” parkour skill now requires activation.
  • Increased volume of Anna’s sentences in the Stolen Goods quest.
  • Fixed sound effect for punching while jumping.
  • Resolved issue of players getting stuck inside the metro station during the Prometheus main quest.

  • Ensured uninterrupted music in certain regions of the map.
  • dl2 update 1.35 fixed water shaders when swimming underwater.
  • Addressed crashes when entering water.
  • Fixed NPC positions during certain dialogues.
  • Dockets now appear correctly in Aiden’s Stash.

UI:

  • Players no longer get stuck in an empty screen when closing the pop-up about occupied save slots while starting a New Game.
  • Fixed description balloon for Military Bundles in the In-game Store tab.
  • Eliminated duplication of news in the main menu.
  • Chase indicator no longer overlaps with XP gained icons.
  • Gunslinger Bundle is now available in the in-game shop.
  • Removed a typo in the “new arena unlocked” message in the Bloody Ties DLC.
  • Corrected placement of Left Stick Forward UI prompt in prologue tutorials.
  • Highlighted main menu options correctly when hovering the cursor over them.
  • Removed improper shadow in the co-op menu.
