Diablo 4 update 1.16 is rolling out on PS4, PC and Xbox consoles. Accroding to the official Diablo 4 1.16 patch notes, the latest update enables faster Malignant Monster spawns and default Trade Channel entry. Apart from this, today’s Diablo 4 patch 1.16 also includes fixes for stability, performance, and shop cosmetics.
Previously, the Diablo 4 day one patch and Diablo 4 patch 1.06 added minor tweaks and changes. Unfortunately, since the release, players are experiencing bugs, error codes and various other issues. Today’s D4 patch 1.16 will address a few of these issues.

Diablo 4 Patch 1.16 Notes – August 15, 2023
Gameplay Adjustments
- After activating a Malignant Heart, the Malignant Monster now appears in 2 seconds, down from 5.
- Players are now auto-added to the Trade Channel; modify settings in-game to exit.
Bug Fixes
Events & Dungeons
- Fixed the glitch that let players redo Nightmare Dungeons by switching party leaders.
- Solved the Gathering Legions event stall, even after clearing all foes.
Druid Abilities
- Rectified the Boulder damage cap issue with the Aspect of Metamorphic Stone.
- Fixed the accidental activation of Agitated Winds malignant power when objects are destroyed.
- Corrected the levitating problem of Aspect of the Alpha Werewolf allies.
Quest Concerns
- Fixed the unfinishable Fury Against Fate quest.
- Stopped the endless collection of Iron Skin Elixirs through the Desperate Remedies quest loop.
- Solved the Call of the Ancients quest halt due to leader’s death or early Gharl defeat.
- Corrected the wrong NPC directions in crafting side quests.
UI & UX Improvements
- Eradicated white streaks on the World Map.
- Fixed the post-chapter glitch in the Season Journey menu.
- Rectified the World Boss alert for players missing the Whispers of the Dead.
- Improved the display of items linked in Battle.net chat.
- Standardized the display of the Holding Back the Flood quest indicator.
- Refined Caged Heart tooltips for clearer bonus descriptions.
- Specified the Caged Heart of Determination’s effect against enemy resource drains.
Other Corrections
- Fixed the unattainable A Boon in the Tide Season Journey goal.
- Prevented dungeon entry teleportation during invulnerability skills, e.g., Blood Mist.
- Rectified issues with interacting with specific entities, notably corpses.
- Fixed mount skill unavailability after exiting cities.
- Corrected the Calculated malignant power’s misuse of stun effects.
- Druids, Necromancers, and Rogues can now gamble for Helms at the Unsavory Oddities shop.
- Solved the Wrathful Heart swap issue.
- Fixed the Penitent Greaves frost visual in the final boss stage.
- Prevented random quest items from popping up in towns.
- Boosted game stability and performance.
- Tweaked Shop Cosmetic offerings.
