Destiny 2 update 8.0.5 is rolling out on PS4(Version 3.33), PC, PS5, Xbox One, and PC players. According to the Destiny 2 update 8.0.5 patch notes, the latest update increases popular map weighting, introduces lenient quitter penalties, and balances Competitive and Trials modes. Bug fixes improve raid and dungeon experiences. Apart from this, Destiny 2 patch 8.0.5 also includes changes for abilities, exotic armor, and weapon tuning adjustments enhance gameplay.

Crucible
General
- Increased weighting for popular maps: Javelin-4, Burnout, Endless Vale, Cirrus Plaza, Dissonance, Eventide Ruins.
- Reduced weighting for less popular maps: Disjunction, Cathedral of Dusk, Convergence, Twilight Gap, Exodus Blue, Dead Cliffs.
- Standard weighting for all other maps.
- Improved snake draft to better account for fireteams.
- Lenient quitter penalties for occasional quitters, stricter for frequent quitters.
Competitive
- Competitive Artifice armor challenge available after placement series if player is gold or higher.
- Score to win in Clash mode reduced from 40 to 35.
- Improved spawn logic in Collision mode to spawn closer to teammates.
- Fixed rank-based matchmaking tooltip reference from glory to competitive rank.
Trials
- Losses won’t remove a win from Passage of Persistence in a three-person fireteam.
- Enabled blended ammo system.
- Deprecated Special ammo meter in core Crucible, available in private matches and Checkmate rotator.
- Fixed collectibles issue with Summoner and Eye of Sol in Trials Collection badge.
- Fixed Passage of Ferocity launch issue on disconnect.
Iron Banner
- Temporarily removed Tribute for improvements.
- Fixed Crimil’s Dagger and Claws of the Wolf not counting towards Orimund’s Taste Triumph.
Private Matches
- Increased player cap for Rumble in private match lobbies to 12 players.

- Fixed extra Resonance pickups post-activity.
- Corrected respawn issues in traversal areas.
