Destiny 2 update 8.0.5.4 is rolling out on PS4(Version 3.38), PC, PS5, Xbox One, and PC players. According to the Destiny 2 update 8.0.5.3 patch notes, the latest update resolves key issues in Grandmaster Nightfall, Trials of Osiris, and Encore. Apart from this, Destiny 2 patch 8.0.5.4 also includes weapon adjustments.

Activities
Grandmaster Nightfall
- Fixed an issue where the catchup node wasn’t available for players who had completed six different Grandmaster Nightfalls.
Crucible: Trials of Osiris
- Fixed an issue where players could retain Special ammo between rounds.
Exotic Missions
Encore
- Fixed an issue where progression could be blocked in the final boss encounter if the player had to repeat either the left or right capture ring.
- Fixed an issue where depositing a Connection Module too early could trigger a team wipe.
- Adjusted text and waypoint to always display on-screen during the final boss encounter to clarify when the sequence needs to be restarted after a DPS window ends.
Gameplay and Investment
Weapons
- Fixed an issue where Eriana’s Vow was not dealing 67% increased damage to Barrier Champions as intended.
- Removed the -40% damage penalty for Eriana’s Vow when hitting Barrier Champion shields.
Abilities
Hunter
Threaded Specter
- Increased cooldown for Marksman Dodge and Gambler’s Dodge when Threaded Specter is equipped.
- Removed dodge cooldown penalty after clone creation.
- Threadlings no longer spawn when the clone is destroyed by attacks.
- Increased distraction duration of the clone before exploding.
Snare Bomb
- Reduced the lingering time of the Smoke Bomb projectile from 10 seconds to 3.5 seconds.
- Reduced the movement speed penalty from the smoke by 25%.
Titan
- Fixed an issue where some players had the Twilight Arsenal Super unlocked for Prismatic but not for their Void subclass.
Grenades
- Swarm Grenade base cooldown duration increased by 15%.
- Moved Swarm Grenade to a slower recharge tier for non-passive grenade energy gains.
UI & UX
Fireteam Finder
- Fixed an issue where Encore was not showing as an option in Fireteam Finder.
- Players will now only see entries (Standard and Expert) for the version of the mission they can currently launch from the HELM.
Previously, Destiny 2 update 7.1 changes for the economy, weapon sandbox, abilities, exotic armor, quality of life, crucible, and enemy elemental shields. Today’s Destiny 2 update 3.38 will fix a few of these issues.
