Destiny 2 update 7.2.0.4 details released for PS4, PC, PS5, Xbox One, and PC players. According to the Destiny 2 update 7.2.0.4 patch notes, the latest update brings the Master Crota’s End Raid mode and Checkmate Control modifier in Crucible Labs. Apart from this, Destiny 2 patch 7.2.0.4 also includes a change to drop rates for the Essences of the Oversoul.
Previously, Destiny 2 update 7.1 changes for the economy, weapon sandbox, abilities, exotic armor, quality of life, crucible, and enemy elemental shields. Today’s Destiny 2 update 7.2.0.4 will fix a few of these issues.

Destiny 2 Patch 7.2.0.4 Notes – September 19, 2023
- Legendary Shard Removal: Legendary Shards are being removed from Destiny 2’s economy.
- Season of the [Goodbye]: Starting in Season 23, Legendary Shard costs will be removed from the Monument to Lost Lights and ritual gear focusing.
- Dismantle Rewards: Changes to rewards for dismantling gear based on rarity.
- Xûr’s Payment Methods: Xûr will seek alternative forms of payment for his wares.
- Crota’s End Updates: Updates to Essence of the Oversoul acquisition for the Necrochasm quest.
- PvP Updates: Antaeus Wards adjustments, a new Iron Banner mode called Tribute, and changes to various weapon types.
- Checkmate in Crucible Labs: Introduction of a new modifier affecting player health and Special ammo mechanics.
- Improved Trials Weapon Drops: Changes to Trials weapon drops for wins.
