Destiny 2 Update Patch Notes (Official) – January 27, 2022

Destiny 2 update is now available to download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. According to Destiny 2 version patch notes, the latest update added gameplay improvements, adjustments, optimizations and crash fixes.

Previously, a minor hotfix update was released with quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are still facing several issues.

What is new in Destiny 2 Update Today? – January 27, 2022 (Updated)



  • Fixed an issue causing less Reputation to be rewarded in Dares of Eternity than intended.



  • Fixed an issue where Hand Cannons would have an empty magazine when first entering into an activity.


  • Fixed an issue where the Frontal Assault buff was not reliably being added to the player if their charged melee killed the target.
  • Addressed various crossplay-related issues on consoles.
  • Addressed game crashing bugs on PC and consoles.
  • Fixed controller issue on PlayStation 5
  • Fixed missing audio issues.
  • Addressed a bug where Forsaken Ciphers don’t appear in a player’s loot stream if players already own Forsaken.
  • Added stability fixes.
  • Added performance improvements.
  • Other minor bug fixes.
