EA Games has released Dead Space Remake PC update 1.05 for players. According to Dead Space Remake 1.05 patch notes, the latest update resolves issues with unlocking doors and spawning characters, recognizing player progress earlier in the game, and improving the functionality of cosmetic suit upgrades. Apart from this, Dead Space patch 1.05 also resolves stuttering issues.
Recently, the game was released with positive reviews from players and critics. Unfortunately, since the release, players are experiencing several issues including sprint bug, high temperature, audio and others. Today’s Dead Space Remake version 1.05 will fix a few of these issues.

Dead Space PC Patch 1.05 Notes – February 18, 2023
- The game now recognizes if the player has collected the Crew Quarters key card before reaching Chapter 10 and getting the objective “Find the Crew Deck key”. If the game doesn’t update when loading a save where you were already in this state, travel away from the area for around 60 seconds and return, and the game should update.
- The door to the security station will now properly unlock after the call from Daniels ends during the objective “Locate the source of the broadcast”. If the door is still in standby upon loading a save, ride the tram to another station and back, wait 30 seconds, and the door will unlock.
- Players will no longer be able to launch the asteroid without first destroying the gravity tethers, preventing them from getting stuck. If upon loading a game where the player is already stuck, the game will update if the player has destroyed the mining tethers. If the mining tethers have not been destroyed, the player should do this, and then the game will update.
- Dr. Kyne will now properly spawn inside Chief Steward’s office. This will be fixed if the current objective is scrambled with Unitologist symbols. The player should go back to the Cantina, then come back to the Hunter fight room. This should trigger the proper quest flow, and then the player should follow the quest markers until they reach Kyne’s sequence.
- Previously acquired suit visuals are now available in Storage and can be equipped by selecting them and choosing the “Equip” action. To remove a cosmetic, choose the currently equipped cosmetic suit from the Storage and select the “Unequip” option. Changing the cosmetic aspect of a suit does not impact the upgrades that have been acquired. Suits are granted as such: Purchase level 2 -> Acquire level 1 cosmetic, Purchase level 3 -> Acquire level 2 cosmetic, etc. For saves where specific suit upgrades have already been acquired, the player will be automatically awarded the cosmetics in their Storage.
