Dead by Daylight update 8.500.100 details are now available for PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official DBD update 8.500.100 patch notes, the latest 8.5.1 update brings a rework for The Nightmare, a limited-time 2V8 event, and various perk, UI, and audio improvements. Apart from this, DBD patch 8.500.100 also addresses Killer abilities, map glitches, and matchmaking issues, alongside performance optimizations for smoother gameplay.

Killer Rework – The Nightmare
Base Changes
- Added visual effects (VFX) when The Nightmare teleports to a Survivor being healed.
Addon Changes
- Black Box (NEW):
- Sleeping Survivors will have Exit Gates blocked for 15 seconds after they open.
- The effect lingers for 3 seconds after they wake up.
Archives & Events
- 2V8 Game Mode returns on February 10th at 11:00 AM Eastern for two weeks.
- Includes a special Resident Evil-themed event tome with new rewards.

- Clairvoyance perk now includes a progress bar.
- Updated “Memento Mori” entry in the Game Manual (now called “Kill By Your Hand”).

Previously, a big Dead by Daylight update 5.4.0 was released which added a new Killer (The Onryō) and a new survivor (Yoichi Asakawa). Unfortunately, players are facing various issues with the game. Today’s Dead by Daylight patch 8.500.100 will address a few of these issues.
