CS2 Update Details (CS2 Patch Notes) on March 19, 2026

Counter Strike 2 (CS2) update is available to download on PC. According to the official CS2 update patch notes, the latest update focuses on strategic ammo usage, adds controlled map guidance features, and improves social access to workshop sessions. Additionally, today’s CS2 patch also includes stability fixes.

CS2 Update Patch Notes – March 19, 2026

Gameplay

• Reloading system refactored; remaining ammo in magazines is discarded on reload.

• Reserve ammo now displayed as magazines, shells, or bullets depending on weapon type.

• Current weapon fill level is shown below ammo count.

• Reserve magazine counts adjusted per weapon.

Map Guides

• Limited map guides added to Competitive and Retakes (first 5 rounds per half, up to 30 nodes).

• New setting sv_allow_annotations_access_level:

  • 0: Disabled

  • 1: Limited view

  • 2: Full access and editing

• New setting sv_annotation_limits_max_rounds_per_half (default 5, -1 for unlimited).

• Basic starter guides added for all Active Duty maps.

Workshop Maps

• Players can now join friends in Practice or Workshop maps via the friends menu if Open Party is enabled.
