CS2 Update Details (CS2 Patch Notes) on August 19, 2025

Counter Strike 2 (CS2) update is available to download on PC. According to the official CS2 update patch notes, the latest update brings key fixes and improvements across maps and gameplay. Ancient sees restored wallbangs, sound tweaks, and clipping fixes, while Shoots receives movement adjustments. Additionally, today’s CS2 patch also fixes bugs affecting fullscreen, decals, Linux mouse motion, and shot prediction

CS2 Update Patch Notes – August 19, 2025

Maps

Ancient

• Roof decorations near CT spawn house reverted.

• Cave plywood wallbang restored.

• Updated daytime soundscape with various tweaks.

• Fixed items getting stuck behind B-site rubble pile on T side.

• Adjusted player clipping for smoother movement.

Shoots

• Player clipping adjustments applied.

Ancient & Shoots

• Added more map source content for community map makers:

  • Available in maps/editor/zoo/ancient_zoo.vmap.

Miscellaneous

• Fixed knife slashes leaving incorrect “dry” decals on wet surfaces.

• Fixed shot misprediction bug when holding attack button across round respawn.

• Fixed issue where viewmodel stuck to camera when cl_lock_camera was enabled.

• Fixed fullscreen windowed mode:

  • Now supports extreme aspect ratios.

  • Properly stretches to fill the screen.

• Fixed Linux relative mouse motion issues.

• Various stability improvements.
