CS2 Update Details (CS2 Patch Notes) on April 30, 2026

Counter Strike 2 (CS2) update is available to download on PC. According to the official CS2 update patch notes, the latest update focuses on Cache gameplay clarity and reliability, including improved sightlines, corrected collision issues, and restored footstep audio. Additionally, today’s CS2 patch also addresses a rare full-audio failure, fixes a money deduction bug during bot control, and tightens several visual and physics interactions across maps.

CS2 Update Patch Notes – April 30, 2026

Maps

• Bomb blast radius on Cache increased.
• Lighting refined near Vent for clearer visibility.
• Player collision disabled on sign; lamp near Squeaky removed.
• A-site e-box redesigned to improve sightlines.
• Entrance frame height at Checkers from B Main reduced.
• AC unit above Sandbags removed; nearby pipes repositioned.
• Footstep audio restored on crates at A-site.
• Fixed map hole near Sun Room door.
• Corrected unintended wall penetration on A Main wall.
• Addressed z-fighting artifacts around Garage.
• Grenade collision behavior adjusted across the map.
• Player collision boundaries refined in multiple spots.
• Dust II: Blocked visibility exploit through Mid Box corner.

Sound

• Implemented a targeted fix for rare situations where all sound could cut out.

Miscellaneous

• Fixed camera clipping into ceilings when crouch-jumping in tight spaces.
• Flashbang particle opacity adjusted when fully blocked from view.
• Smoke lighting behavior made more consistent.
• Minor tuning applied to dropped pistol magazine movement.
• Ambient Occlusion settings in the Environment Blend shader restored.
• Corrected issue where funds could be removed from the wrong player during bot takeover.
