Counter Strike 2 (CS2) update is rolling out on PC. According to the official CS2 update patch notes, the latest update brings score adjustments and recoil improvements. Additionally, today’s CS2 patch also includes various visual fixes and enhanced network graph clarity.
Previously, a major CS2 update added various quality of life changes and fixes. Unfortunately, players are still facing several issues while playing the game. Today’s CS2 patch will fix a few of these issues. Check out more details below.

CS2 Update Patch Notes – October 5, 2024
Gameplay Updates:
- Score Calculation Adjustments:
- Knife and utility damage no longer contribute to score in Casual, Competitive, and Wingman modes.
Visual and Model Fixes:
- 3rd Person Weapon Recoil:
- Recoil effects now fully incorporated into 3rd person weapon angles.
- Map Shadows:
- Fixed missing cascade shadows on some community maps.
- Armory Preview:
- Corrected extra weapon models appearing in the Armory weapon preview.
Network Improvements:
- Jitter Graphs:
- Network jitter graphs now display a scale number in the upper right corner for clarity.
Miscellaneous Fixes:
- Shell Casing Rendering:
- Fixed instances where shell casings rendered as error models.
- Stability:
- Various stability fixes applied for improved performance.
