BF2042 Update 1.31 (4.1) is available on PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official BF2042 1.31 patch notes, the latest update brings various improvements to the chat, gameplay, specialist mastery, audio, and gadgets. Apart from this, today’s BF2042 version 1.31 also includes various tweaks and changes.
Previously, a major BF2042 update 3.0 added a new map, a new Specialist (Rasheed Zain), a new Vehicle, and much more. Unfortunately, since the last patch, players are facing various disconnection and login issues with the game. Today’s BF2042 patch 1.31 will fix a few of these issues.

Bug Fixes
In terms of chat, the update has enhanced the design to make it less cluttered, added background opacity decoupling, and made color formatting changes. For gameplay, players now earn XP for objective fortification and revival, IBA armor plates provide chest protection only, and various issues with melee damage and traversal sprint have been fixed.
The update has also made improvements to specialist mastery, adjusting the mastery requirements for Sundance, Crawford, Zain, Lis, and Dozer. The audio has undergone an HDR audio overhaul, with tweaks to minimize shifting in the EBLC-RAM and improved feedback when stuck with a projectile from the SPH Explosive Launcher. Gadgets have been updated with tooltips for the defibrillator on Battlefield Portal, and fixes for various issues with the repair tool, smoke grenades, friendly claymores, and more.
