Remedy Entertainment has released Alan Wake 2 update 1.200.005 details for PS5, PC(1.2.5) and Xbox(1.2.05). According to the official Alan Wake 2 1.200.005 update notes, the latest update enhances collectibles, adjusts gameplay mechanics, and improves motion controls. In addition, the Alan Wake 2 version 1.200.005 also fixes visual and progression bugs, including unobtainable content and soft locks, while resolving localization errors and stability issues for an improved experience.

Improvements and Additions
Campaign Collectibles
- The Lake House: Collectibles from the expansion are now available in Saga’s Mind Place when played as part of the main campaign.
- Night Springs: The Night Springs theme unlocks in the Writer’s Room after completing any Night Springs chapter in the campaign.
Gameplay Adjustments
- Thrower Enemies:
- Reduced movement frequency to make encounters less frustrating.
- Increased delay before teleportation after taking damage.
Motion Controls
- Improved gyro controls for smoother interaction with stick input.
- Increased maximum sensitivity from 4x to 20x in the options menu for greater customization.
Fixes
Performance and Visuals
- PS5 Pro: Resolved missing Performance LSAO (shadow) data when switching between Quality and Performance modes.
- Deluxe Edition:
- Alan’s hair now gets properly messy and soaked with the Classic Outfit.
- Alan’s wedding ring is now visible.
Night Springs
- Fixed an issue where episodes wouldn’t appear in the main campaign after loading a nearby save.
Content and Progression
- Fixed the following content availability issues:
- Alice photos in Final Draft.
- Manuscript pages in Return 6 and Return 1 within the Mind Place.
- Pat Maine radio shows, making them obtainable again.
- Sheriff Stash in Initiation 5 that was previously inaccessible.
- Key item in Return 3 that could be picked up prematurely, causing a soft lock.
Objective and Interaction Issues
- Resolved issues with map markers persisting after interaction.
- Fixed objectives like “Investigate the previously flooded area” not clearing correctly.
- Addressed Scratch getting stuck behind the microphone stand in Return 08.
Localization
- Corrected various localization errors across multiple languages.
General Improvements
- Minor fixes and stability enhancements for smoother gameplay.
Unfortunately, since the last major Alan Wake patch 1.13, players have been experiencing various bugs and issues. Alan Wake 2 patch 1.2.5 will address a few of these issues. More tweaks and changes are expected with Alan Wake 2 PS5 version 1.200.006.
