World War Z update 1.59 (1.022) is rolling out on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the World War Z 1.59 patch notes, the latest update adds 13 new mutators in Challenge Horde Mode, including Myopia and Grenadier. Apart from this, Today’s World War Z patch 1.59 (version 1.022.000) also adds the Arizona map to Horde Mode XL Challenge mode, and a new challenge mode, Extinction. Completing Extinction Mode rewards players with skins for Heavy weapons.

New Features
- Challenge Horde Mode:
- 13 new mutators added:
- Grenadier: The Bomber throws explosives until neutralized.
- Myopia: After aiming, your vision becomes blurred.
- Plague Creatures: During the wave, a random special zombie and poison cloud appears.
- Mass Contamination: The Booster infects a larger group of zombies nearby.
- Angry Turrets: At the start of the wave, all deployed turrets become neutral, posing a deadly threat to both zombies and human players.
- New Advantages for All 8 Classes: Raise the health and damage of each class by 50%.
- New Content:
- Arizona map added to Horde Mode XL Challenge mode.
- New challenge mode: Extinction.
- Skins for Heavy weapons added for completing Extinction Mode.
- New mutators: Myopia, Grenadier, Plague Creatures, Angry turrets, Class Advantage, and Mass contamination.
- Golden Bloom Weapon Skin Pack DLC added.
Bug Fixes
- Resolved issues with receiving the Iron Man portrait frame.
- Fixed an issue with menu items in collections being unclickable.
- Addressed a problem that resulted in players not seeing allied messages in PvP text chat.
- Fixed an issue where a player could remain in the current party when accepting an invite to another party.
- Resolved a problem with changing resolution when switching to Borderless mode.
- Aim-Assist no longer works on lying sleeping zombies.
- Fixed an issue where some prestige perks did not work immediately after unlocking.
Previously, WWZ update 1.55 added brings significant additions including new mutators, weapon perks, and quality of life improvements. Unfortunately, since the last major patch, players are still facing a number of issues with the game. Today’s World War Z version 1.59 will address a few of these issues.
