Valheim Update 0.221.4 Patch Notes (September 9, 2025)

Valheim update 0.221.4 is available on PC (Steam) and Xbox One. According to the official Valheim patch notes, the latest update introduces the adrenaline combat system, Perfect Dodge Roll, and new enemies Bear and Vile with themed gear. Combat has been refined with stamina tweaks and Forsaken Power rebalances. Apart from this, Valheim patch 0.221.4 also expanded crafting, weapons, and furniture options.

• New Adrenaline System with Trinkets that grant temporary perks.

Fixes & Improvements

Combat Changes

• Perfect Block no longer costs stamina.

• Reduced movement speed penalty on Battleaxes, Sledgehammers, and Tower Shields.

• Improved vertical combat on slopes.

Forsaken Powers (Rebalanced)

• Eikthyr: 60% stamina reduction (running, jumping, swimming).

• The Elder: +60% chopping/mining damage, +30% health regen.

• Bonemass: +25% resistances, block costs 0 stamina, +5 stamina on block return.

• Moder: Permanent tailwind, +300 carry weight, +10% speed, +50% frost resistance.

• Yagluth: +50% lightning resistance, +25 Farm skill, +10% damage.

• The Queen: +100% Eitr regen, -100% sneak cost, +50% poison resistance.

• Fader: +100% Adrenaline gain, -50% stagger modifier, +50% fire resistance.

• New items can now be placed, including flour, seeds, helmets, trophies, food, tools, saddles, and more.

• Adjusted positions/orientations for weapons, tools, helmets, food, and trophies.

Previously, a major Valheim update 0.212.7 added Valheim Mistlands update added new contents, a new biome, 9 new creatures and Mistlands boss. Unfortunately, players are still facing various issues with the game. Today’s Valheim game update 0.221.4 will address a few of these issues.
