Until Dawn update 1.08 (1.008) is available to download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. According to official Until Dawn patch notes, the latest update addresses key gameplay bugs, enhances performance, improves controller support, and resolves various crashes across platforms. Until Dawn version 1.005 (1.005.000) also fixes save/load progression blockers.

Gameplay Fixes
- Disabled the ability to enable TAA (Temporal Anti-Aliasing) when FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) is active.
- Don’t Move inputs now respect custom key bindings, including AZERTY keyboards.
- Fixed butterfly effects displaying incorrect information at the end of playthroughs.
- Movement prompt now appears correctly during the deer approach in Chapter 6.
Achievements and Trophies
- Fixed The It’s Shining trophy/achievement to unlock correctly when gathering interactions from Episode Select.
- Resolved an issue where the Symphony of Horrors achievement unlocked early in some instances.
- The Carnival of Solitude achievement on Steam Deck no longer requires gyroscope functionality to unlock.
Character and Chapter Fixes
- Josh’s Character screen now appears as intended in Chapter 10.
- Fixed stuttering issues during Mike’s scene in the Sanatorium (Chapter 9).
Technical Improvements
- Updated shader compilation process:
- Shorter initial compilation screen with some tasks moved to the menu.
- Added a warning screen if the game is started before compilation completes.
- Players can revert to the old system by using the
-legacypsocommand via the Steam Launcher.
- Resolved crashes on boot for Steam Deck players. Users encountering issues should switch to Proton Experimental in compatibility settings.
Telemetry Improvements
- Player choice percentage telemetry now tracks correctly across all platforms.
