Until Dawn update 1.05 (1.005) is available to download on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. According to official Until Dawn patch notes, the latest update addresses key gameplay bugs, enhances performance, improves controller support, and resolves various crashes across platforms. Until Dawn version 1.005 (1.005.000) also fixes save/load progression blockers.
Previously, Until Dawn patch 1.003 added quality of life changes. Unfortunately, players still facing several issues. Today’s Until Dawn patch 1.005 will fix a few of these issues. Read full details here.

Gameplay Fixes
- Fixed issue with Mike sliding around the Sanatorium in Chapter 9.
- Fixed issue with Chris dropping into place after viewing the Wanted Poster clue in Chapter 1.
- Fixed issue where Sam could get trapped outside the Sanatorium in Chapter 9.
- Fixed a crash around the shed in Chapter 8.
- Fixed stuttering during in-game movies (Butterfly Effect, Sam Bus sequence).
Performance Fixes
- Resolved black screen and frame drop issues.
- Improved performance for lower spec PCs and Steam Deck.
- Fixed frame pacing issues on PS5.
- Upgraded to FSR 3.1.1 (Unreal) to address Frame Generation feature issues.
Controller and UI Fixes
- Enabled DualSense wireless controller touchpad by default for certain interactions (reverting to default settings applies this fix).
- Fixed UI prompts appearing off-screen in 16:9 aspect ratio.
Graphics and Visual Fixes
- Fixed VSync setting not working as intended.
- Fixed Resolution Scale setting issues.
- Fixed HDR settings not functioning as intended on PC.
- Fixed Screen Resolution % resetting to 25% when changing settings, preventing pixelated visuals.
Platform-Specific Fixes
- Fixed dll error causing Steam Deck to fail on boot.
- Fixed crash when booting the game during installation on PS5.
Save/Load and Progression Fixes
- Fixed save/load blockers that could prevent progress when hitting “Continue.” This fix retroactively applies to previously affected saves.
Miscellaneous Fixes
- Fixed Dolby Atmos not working as intended.
- Fixed transcript scrolling not working via mouse.
- Various other miscellaneous fixes.
Known Issues (Fixes in Progress)
- Frame Generation still requires an upscaler to function independently.
- Full monitor selection support is in development.
- Raytracing tweaks are being worked on.
- Investigating anti-aliasing and DLSS issues.
- HDR support for Borderless mode is in development.
- Temporal Super Resolution will be upgraded to fix aliasing issues.
