Uboat update 2024.1 (patch 12) is rolling out on PC(Steam). According to the official Uboat patch notes, the latest update brings localization changes in Ukrainian, Japanese, and Russian. Uboat update 2024.1 also fixes UI issues with periscope controls.
Unfortunetly, since the last patch, players are still facing several issues while playing the game online. Today’s Uboat patch 2024.1 will fix these issues.

Uboat Patch Notes – August 31, 2024
Localization
- Ukrainian localization update by vovanvoks.
- Japanese localization update by かねのもうじゃ.
- Russian localization update by Hard.
UI
- Fix: Text alignment for save file info corrected when text wraps.
- Fix: Capacity bar no longer shows when inspecting cargo on merchant ships.
- Fix: Stadimeter button on periscope now properly reflects availability and includes a tooltip explaining its status.
- Fix: Observation periscope in Type II U-boats now displays correct depth control, not attack periscope.
World
- Reworked: Brest submarine pens now compatible with lowest tides. Bunkers include water gates with regulated levels.
Ships
- Fix: NPC U-boats’ propellers are no longer audible while docked.
Graphics
- Fix: Dashed lines on puppet state territories no longer move during high compression travel.
- Fix: Water surface near the ceiling no longer appears when Type II ballast tanks are flooded.
- Fix: Wrong lighting no longer visible for a fraction of a second when external scenes are closed.
Audio
- Update: Increased ambient sound volume in hydrophones, varying based on bearing direction.
- Fix: Resolved issue with music and ambient audio cutting out when too many ships are nearby.
Achievements
- Update: Battleship Hunter achievement now obtainable by sinking battleships in groups, not just convoys.
General
- Fix: Aircraft no longer appear in the water during high compression travel, particularly in tutorial #4.
- Fix: Removed stadimeter from Type II observation periscopes to match Type VII.
