Toxic Commando Update 1.005 (v1.5) Patch Notes on April 2, 2026

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando update 1.005 (version 1.005.000) is now available to download on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. According to the official Toxic Commando update 1.5 patch notes, the latest update introduces a new ADS control option, sets Performance Mode as the standard on consoles, and delivers broad stability improvements.  Todays Toxic Commando patch 1.005 also resolves numerous crash sources, freezes, and gameplay blockers.

Update Highlights

  • New option added to control Aim Down Sights behavior.
  • Performance Mode now set as the default on console systems.
  • Multiple crash sources addressed across gameplay and menus.
  • Fixes applied for freezes, softlocks, and blocked player actions.

New Settings

  • Added a toggle for ADS functionality in the settings menu.

Console Changes

  • Performance Mode is now automatically enabled by default on consoles.

Stability and Crash Fixes

  • Resolved crashes triggered when interacting with mortar equipment.
  • Fixed crashes caused by placing ping markers on mortar during the Demon Bait mission.
  • Addressed crashes occurring when the session host exits the match.
  • Resolved crashes happening during game shutdown.
  • Fixed crashes that occurred when a player character dies.
  • Improved stability when players attempt actions while another user joins the session.
  • Corrected various random crash scenarios.
  • Eliminated hidden crashes that caused freezes or softlocks.
  • Fixed issues that prevented players from performing actions, such as entering vehicles.

Previously, Toxic Commando day 1 update added quality of life changes and tweaks. Today’s Toxic Commando update 1.005 will address a few of these bugs. You can expect more fixes in the upcoming Toxic Commando patch 1.006.
