The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (TCM) update 1.16 (version 1.000.018) is rolling out on PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox consoles. Accroding to the official TCM 1.15 patch notes, the update resolves various issues in the game, including fixes to Virginia’s Skill Tree, cosmetics, and tutorial accessibility. Apart from this, TCM game update 1.16 also resolves numerous stuck spots and collision errors on The Mill map are rectified.
Unfortunately, since the last patch 1.02, players have been experiencing some issues with the game. Today’s TCM patch 1.018 will fix a few of these issues. The upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre game patch 1.16 will fix the remaining issues.

TCM game Patch Notes – April 15, 2024
- Virginia’s Skill Tree Fix
- The issue with Virginia’s Skill Tree, where multiple paths were blocked by white squares, has been resolved.
- Players can now access all paths in Virginia’s Skill Tree without any hindrance.
- Virginia’s Cosmetics Correction
- Virginia’s cosmetics were not unlocking despite players meeting requirements.
- This issue has been addressed, and Virginia’s cosmetics will now unlock as intended when milestones are reached.
- Virginia’s Tutorial Issue Resolution
- Players who purchased Virginia were encountering difficulties accessing her tutorial.
- This problem has been fixed, and now players can unlock and view Virginia’s tutorial without any issues.
- Trace Chemicals Perk Adjustment
- An issue with the Trace Chemicals perk, where powder tables were not highlighting for Virginia, has been fixed.
- With Trace Chemicals equipped, powder collection points within a certain range will now be highlighted for Virginia.
- Leatherface Rev/Stun Bypass Fix
- An exploit allowing Leatherface players to bypass door stun animations using the chainsaw rev has been fixed.
- Leatherface players will now experience the expected stun animation from doors, regardless of rev.
- Sissy’s Bane Ability Correction
- An issue with Sissy’s poison clouds not affecting Victims through certain obstacles has been resolved.
- Sissy’s Bane Ability will now traverse and affect Victims through barricades, crawl spaces, and gaps.
- Family Stun Overlay Issue Resolution
- Family players were not seeing the black smoke overlay after being stunned by a closed door.
- This issue has been fixed, and Family players will now see the black smoke overlay after being stunned by a closed door.
- Virginia Voice Lines Adjustment
- Voice lines were missing for Virginia when escaping, and incorrect voiceover would play when she was killed during the intro cinematic.
- These issues have been fixed, ensuring proper voice lines for Virginia during escapes and the correct voiceover when killed during the intro cinematic.
- Coagulant Perk Description Fix
- A typo in Virginia’s Coagulant perk description has been corrected.
- Stun Proof Family Issue Resolution
- Family members were not being stunned when hit with a door.
- This issue has been resolved, and Family members will now be properly stunned when hit with a door.
- Danny Tamper Fix
- An issue preventing Danny from using his Tamper ability on a valve has been fixed.
- Players can now use Danny’s Tamper ability on valves without any problems.
- Danny and Nancy Progression Correction
- Danny and Nancy were not appearing in the Progression Menu.
- This issue has been fixed, and players will now see Danny and Nancy in the progression tab under the Progression Menu.
- Various Stuck Spots on The Mill
- Issues where players would get stuck in certain areas of The Mill have been addressed.
- Players will no longer get stuck when crouching into a bush close to the stairs in the Dam Access area, and Leatherface players will no longer get stuck on spots in the Pump Room wall.
- Wood Storage Collision Fix on The Mill
- An issue where players were unable to navigate over a sheet of metal in the Wood Storage area without crouching has been fixed.
- Virginia Voice Over Subtitles Correction
- A subtitle typo for Virginia’s voiceover that would sometimes trigger when approaching a locked door has been fixed.
- Pressure Gate Exit Issue Resolution
- Victims were able to pass through the pressure gate exit after completing the valve minigame without triggering an escape event.
- This issue has been fixed, and now Victims will properly trigger the escape event when passing through the pressure gate exit after completing the valve minigame.
