The Sims 4 update 2.17 is available to download on PS4, PC(1.116.240.1020), and Xbox One. According to the official Sims 4 2.17 patch notes, the latest update drastically reduces Ailment frequency, improves Balance handling, and fixes fairy wing animation logic. Apart from this, Sims 4 patch 2.17 also includes addresses a console connectivity issue with a manual workaround. Several key bugs across DLCs and core systems were also fixed.

Sims now get Ailments every 3 days on average instead of every day.

In large households or active Naturopaths, Ailments reduced by 40–50%.
Contagion Adjustments

Ailments are less contagious between household members.

Public toilet-related infections are now much less frequent.
Balance System Improvements

Very Imbalanced state now takes longer to reach.

Extreme emotions (Mortified, Hysterical) still reduce Balance but allow time for correction.

Death events no longer instantly deplete Balance.

Wing Visibility Logic

Over 360 interactions reviewed for proper wing animation.

Wings tuck away during lying down, sitting, horse riding to avoid clipping issues.

Console Connectivity – Gallery Access
EA Account Linking Workaround

Some console players may lose Gallery access due to a missing User Agreement pop-up.

Click Link EA Account to trigger the updated User Agreement.

Accept and restart the game to regain access.

Previously, a major SIMS 4 update 2.05 added introduces a new Main Menu design, smoother performance, refreshed townie homes, and extensive bug fixes. Today’s Sims 4 version 2.17 will address a few of these issues.
