The Sims 4 update 2.08 is available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Sims 4 2.08 patch notes, the latest Burglar update bringing back nighttime break-ins, police chases, and new ways to protect (or fail to protect) your home. Introducing Robin Banks, the new official Burglar. Burglars appear randomly but will visit more frequently with the Heist Havoc Lot Challenge enabled. Preventing Burglaries Burglar Alarms return! Install them to alert the police and protect your Sims’ belongings. Alarms can now be upgraded to: Automatically call the police. Reduce the chance of breaking. Zap the Burglar, making them drop stolen items. Sims can wake up and fight back or call the police manually. Stronger Sims (high Fitness skill) have a better chance of winning fights. Unique Defenses from Special Sims Dogs chase burglars away. (Requires The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs) Werewolves intimidate burglars into fleeing. (Requires The Sims 4 Werewolves) Spellcasters can use magic to confuse or stop them. (Requires The Sims 4 Realm of Magic) Servos zap burglars with their defense matrix. (Requires The Sims 4 Discover University) Scientists can freeze burglars in place. (Requires The Sims 4 Get to Work) Vampires can drink from burglars and command them to leave. (Requires The Sims 4 Vampires) Fun & Unexpected Reactions Over 50 unique reactions across the base game and 17 expansion/game packs. Teen Sims might take a selfie with the burglar before running away. Legendary Sims like Agnes Crumplebottom and Bonehilda will fight back instead of fleeing. New Challenge: Heist Havoc Lot Challenge Enabling this challenge increases burglary rates. Even high-end security systems might fail unexpectedly. Create-a-Sim Enhancements Tattoo Customization Overhaul New sliders for Hue, Saturation, Opacity, and Brightness. Tattoos can now be browsed with location-based filters (e.g., arms, legs, back, chest, etc.). New Gallery Category: Tattoos Players with Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack can create, share, and download layered tattoos. New Sims 25th Birthday Apparel Embroidered Crewneck & Pixel Plumbob Hoodie available for Sims in masculine and feminine frames. How to Update: PC users can check for a patch through their game client. Console players can manually update via the game menu. Ensure automatic updates are enabled for a seamless process. Troubleshooting Tip: Clear your EA App cache if the update isn’t downloading properly. Mods & CC Care The update brings major changes, including a Tattoo System revamp and Build Mode UI tweaks. Sims no longer experience body or face transformations after using the Stylist Chair, Tooth Extraction, or Crystal Creations Jewelry. Renaissance Sims must now earn career promotions instead of skipping via University. Mentor interactions for washing machines are working again. Nina Caliente’s body and clothing textures now display correctly across all graphics settings. Skill icons return to their proper place in the interaction menu. Cozy Wreaths no longer block Sims from entering homes during Winterfest. Toddler conversations with stuffed animals now perform smoothly. Build Mode Fixes ElectroDance Floor now appears in the “Life Event Activities” category under “Activities and Skills.” Create a Sim Fixes Body sliders for male Sims now function correctly, preventing outfit distortions. SDX goatee correctly appears under the Goatee category. SDX scarf no longer appears twice in the catalog. Expansion & Game Pack Fixes Get to Work Mannequins no longer receive unintended eyelashes when using Styled Looks. City Living Floating festival flowers are now correctly grounded. Get Famous Sims no longer gain Fame or Reputation immediately after moving in. Discover University Early-graduating teens can now tutor others. Sims’ ears properly display Gauges without jagged edges. Snowy Escape Active Lifestyles now display in full color instead of appearing greyed-out. Cottage Living Elderly Chickens no longer pass away when Animal Aging is turned off. Green and white pumpkins can now be properly preserved. High School Years The ThrifTea Bubble Tea Counter barista is back at work. Teen Sims can now post high school events on Social Bunny without issues. Lovestruck Jungle Adventure’s Temple is no longer available as a date venue. Parenthood Children will only make messes if they lack responsibility. Dream Home Decorator Interior Decorators now see correct earnings after gigs. "Stay on Lot" and "Go Home" buttons function properly after gig completion. Nifty Knitting Sims can now properly resume or undo ("Frog") their knitting projects. Knitting Sims will sit before resuming their projects. Sims can switch rocking chairs mid-knitting without errors. Cancelling a knitting interaction stops the action immediately. Home Chef Hustle “Convince to Buy” no longer allows other Sims to walk into your house uninvited. Crystal Creations Crystal Tree research now appears in the Notebook. “Botanical Earrings” icon is now correctly centered in the interaction queue. Previously, a major SIMS 4 update 2.05 added introduces a new Main Menu design, smoother performance, refreshed townie homes, and extensive bug fixes.
