The Sims 4 update 2.08 is available on PS4, PC, and Xbox One. According to the official Sims 4 2.08 patch notes, the latest Burglar update bringing back nighttime break-ins, police chases, and new ways to protect (or fail to protect) your home. Apart from this, Sims 4 patch 2.08 also includes stability fixes.

The Burglars Update
The Return of the Burglar
- The iconic Burglar is back, sneaking into homes at night to steal valuables.
- Introducing Robin Banks, the new official Burglar.
- Burglars appear randomly but will visit more frequently with the Heist Havoc Lot Challenge enabled.
Preventing Burglaries
- Burglar Alarms return! Install them to alert the police and protect your Sims’ belongings.
- Alarms can now be upgraded to:
- Automatically call the police.
- Reduce the chance of breaking.
- Zap the Burglar, making them drop stolen items.
- Sims can wake up and fight back or call the police manually.
- Stronger Sims (high Fitness skill) have a better chance of winning fights.
Unique Defenses from Special Sims
- Dogs chase burglars away. (Requires The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs)
- Werewolves intimidate burglars into fleeing. (Requires The Sims 4 Werewolves)
- Spellcasters can use magic to confuse or stop them. (Requires The Sims 4 Realm of Magic)
- Servos zap burglars with their defense matrix. (Requires The Sims 4 Discover University)
- Scientists can freeze burglars in place. (Requires The Sims 4 Get to Work)

- Over 50 unique reactions across the base game and 17 expansion/game packs.
- Teen Sims might take a selfie with the burglar before running away.
- Legendary Sims like Agnes Crumplebottom and Bonehilda will fight back instead of fleeing.

Nifty Knitting
- Sims can now properly resume or undo (“Frog”) their knitting projects.
- Knitting Sims will sit before resuming their projects.
- Sims can switch rocking chairs mid-knitting without errors.
- Cancelling a knitting interaction stops the action immediately.
Home Chef Hustle
- “Convince to Buy” no longer allows other Sims to walk into your house uninvited.
Crystal Creations
- Crystal Tree research now appears in the Notebook.
- “Botanical Earrings” icon is now correctly centered in the interaction queue.
Previously, a major SIMS 4 update 2.05 added introduces a new Main Menu design, smoother performance, refreshed townie homes, and extensive bug fixes. Today’s Sims 4 version 2.08 will address a few of these issues.
